[Brandon's Pov]

Thank you, Sage, for setting up our date.
I owe her big time for this one.
When Clara and I finish eating, I get out my phone and play Shut Up And Dance by Victoria Justice.
"Would you like to dance?" I ask her.
"I would love to," she says and gives me her hand.

It's nine on the dot and we just talk and we talk,
And I just want it to stop,

We dance until the song ends. We're not as good as Sage and Isaac, but it was sweet.
Then, she surprises me and kisses my cheek.
We both smile and pack up. Morgan and Garrick are waiting for us in the truck.
"Where are Sage and Isaac?" Clara asks.
They look at each other guiltily.
"Umm...They already went home," Morgan says.
"Liar, liar pants on fire!" Clara accuses.
"Okay fine, Isaac asked about Sage's powers and she freaked and went home," Garrick says and Morgan elbows him.
"Why didn't you tell us?" I ask.
"We didn't want to ruin your date," Morgan says sadly.
We drive home in silence.
When we get there, Clara and Morgan rush to Sage's room, while Garrick and I look for Isaac.
We find him in the garden. He looks awful. His hair is all over the place, his face is stressed, and he is pacing around all over the place.
"Dude, you okay?" Garrick asks.
"What did I do?" He asks us.
"I don't know, but the girls won't tell us anything. Women are complicated. Especially spies. I should know, I'm dating one," I say, "Maybe you should just give her some space for a little while."
"Go get some sleep. You need it," Garrick says and pats his back.
He nods and goes to his room.
We walk back inside and see Clara and Morgan were unsuccessful.
"You should know I heard that," Clara says.
"It's what he needed to hear," I smile guiltily.
"Sure," she smiles back.
"Why is Sage so upset?" I ask.
"We have to tell them," Clara says.
"Okay, so about ten years ago, Sage was on her first big mission. A guard threatened her and she killed him and all of the rest of the guards with her powers. Then somehow her supervising officer got in her line of fire and... I don't know exactly what happened, but she is scared to hurt someone else too," Morgan explains, "She controls her power with her emotions, so she has to be really careful. A small thing can set her off."
We nod.
"What exactly is her power?" Garrick asks.
They exchange nervous looks.
"That's not for us to tell you," Clara says, "Sage has to."
It's almost ten and we have school tomorrow, so we go get ready for bed.
I wait outside Clara's door.
She comes and kisses me goodnight and I go to my room.
I just hope tomorrow everything will be alright.
