Lincoln had been carrying Bellamy over his shoulder for almost 30 minutes and was beginning to grow tired of his weight. Emori was noticing it and when she saw the cabin in the far right of the woods, she felt relief wash over her as she rushed in front of the others to get there first. She knew she had to be the first to talk before they could even get the help she was searching for. Emori knocked hurriedly on the door and waited a second and the cold rush of the wind began to pick up. She could feel the cold seeping through her clothing, the exposed skin on her face felt as if it had been touched by fire and the sting almost seemed like a warning. The cold and the wind picked up, yelling and screaming at her to turn around at once. Emori knew that this was one of the worst plans she had, but she had nowhere else to turn. Bellamy will die if he doesn't get treated by a healer and he did not have much time.
With a bounty on her head, it was hard to trust anyone, so she decided to take her chances with the one person she didn't fully distrust. Etain was predictable, Emori knew that, and that was the only reason she knew she would be ten steps ahead of her at all times. She could hear footsteps and stepped back when the door creaked open a little.
"Who are you" the harsh feminine voice sounded so far away yet close and Emori sighed before pushing the door a little more open. Out popped Etain's head and when she realized who was standing outside of her door, she closed it shut without a second thought. Emori sighed in frustration before knocking once again.
"Leave Warrior of Blood, I want nothing to do with you while you are being hunted by the coalition" Etain stated from the other side of the door. "Etain, I need your help, someone I – I care about is hurt. You're the only person I know who could help" Emori said hoping to appeal to Etain's soft side. Which she quite never showed often, but Emori knew was there.
"I cannot help you Emori".
"I spared your life in that battle Etain. It's only one night, then you'll never see me again" Emori stated.
It was silent on the other side and a few seconds passed. Emori sighed thinking she had lost when the door was opened once again and Etain's full body came into view. "After this, I owe you nothing" Etain spat and Emori nodded as she motioned for the others to hurry in. When all four of them were inside they looked around in awe at how cozy the cabin looked. It was warm and Emori knew it was due to the fireplace that was burning slowly in the corner of the room.
"Place him on the table" Etain commanded and Lincoln placed Bellamy down with the help of the two brunette warriors. Bellamy grunted as his shoulder was placed on the hard surface and tried looking for Emori's gaze, but as soon as she placed him down she was pushed away by Etain who began cutting open his shirt.
"We need to remove the arrow, then we'll cauterize the wound" Etain stated stoically and began working on cleaning her hands. She then moved towards Bellamy. "Lift him up" she told Lincoln who carefully moved Bellamy so that Etain could get a better view of the arrow. She noticed there was nothing protruding from the other aide and cursed softly under her breath.
