The sound of an explosion could be heard from anywhere in the camp. Emori jolted awake at the sudden noise, and as quickly as she heard it she flew out of bed and out of her hut. Before she could make any movements towards the commanders tent, movement coming from the sky caught her eye. Emori looked up at the falling drop ship containing what would soon be the end of peace throughout the twelve clans.
"Emori" a strong voice called her and she turned towards Nyko, who was signaling her to come into the commanders tent. She quickly followed after him trying not to look back up at the falling space shuttle.
"What is going on." Was the first thing that Emori said as she looked at Lexa for some guidance. "I have heard stories of the sky people. I thought they were all dead. The only one we have ever encountered was the first Heda" Lexa mumbled as she sat in her throne. "What do we do Heda?" The question was normal to ask, but even Lexa didn't have an answer. There was no way to know what to do with these strangers.
"We wait." Lexa spoke after a few minutes of silence. It was the only thing she could think of that would put her people in the least amount of danger. No one interacts with them and no one gets hurt.
"For what?" Nyko asked as he glanced at Emori who was now standing tall and facing the soldiers before her.
"We wait for their first move." Emori said before leaving the tent and going back to her hut.

The sun was beginning to set. The sky was filled with its orange and purple hues making the dull evening a little more lively. Emori sat at the top of the hill staring at the sun as it disappeared between the mountains.
She used to watch the sunset with her parents every evening until they left. It was where she felt safe and at peace, but sometimes all the sunset reminds her of was of what she's lost. Her home, her parents, and even a part of herself. Emori hated sunsets and the beautiful view that came with it, but she also loved it because it was a way to remember her parents and a way to remind her that she's gain more than she's lost. Her position, her friends, and even a new found confidence that she never had before. Sunsets were a bittersweet tragedy for her.
"My father use to love it here." The voice of the new person didn't startle Emori at all because she knew who it was. "My parents too" she said and looked up at her Bestfriend, Lincoln.
"You know every time I try to sneak up on you it's like you see me coming." Lincoln laughed and made himself comfortable beside the brunette girl. "I've just had a lot of practice at keeping a straight face, and also you tripped pretty loudly on your way in." Emori found herself laughing at the embarrassed face that Lincoln pulled and once she settled down she looked back at the sunset.
"I saw the sky people today" Lincoln said and that seemed to gain Emori's attraction as she looked over at him. "You're not suppose to mix with them. Lexa said we have to wait for them to make their move. Then we'll know if they want peace or war." Emori spoke quickly but sternly and Lincoln knew she was in warrior mode.
