Many of the village leaders and warriors stood in front of a table that was filled with an array of foods. Berries and a cooked pig laid out elegantly on the table. The Trikru members were all waiting for the Sky People to enter so that they could begin their feast of the alliance. Emori smiled softly at Lincoln who was already standing at the table with Octavia. He looked nervous and Emori knew it was because of the murderous looks he was getting from some of the leaders around the table. She wanted to ease his nervousness and by the time she opened her mouth to say something to all the leaders she watched as Octavia placed her hand in Lincoln's and gave him a soft comforting smile. Emori watched Lincoln nod softly and visibly relax and she smiled, happy that he was okay. She closed her mouth and looked away from them and back to Lexa who had a stone cold expression on her face, but Emori knew she was nervous. One glance at Lexa tapping her finger on her sword lightly; a nervous tick she's had since she was young, and Emori knew that her Heda was uneasy.
"Everything will be fine" Emori whispered softly so no one could hear. Lexa looked at her and nodded, "I know". A few minutes passed and the sky people entered with Clarke leading them. They all spread out onto the empty spaces left at the table in front of Lexa, Emori, Gustus, and Indra. Clarke stood in front of Lexa with Bellamy at her side standing in front of Emori. Kane was next as he stood in front of Gustus eyeing the tall strong man with a soft look and a smile.
Marcus turned to the commander and unwrapped a clear glass bottle. "Please, accept this gift commander. We drink this at special occasions. I believe this qualifies" Marcus smile and held out the bottle for Lexa to take. Lexa eyed the bottle and then nodded softly at Gustus, who took it into his hands and placed it into Emori's hands, who then gave it to Lexa.
"Thank you. Marcus of the sky people" the commander stated softly looking at Marcus with a pleased look.
"You're welcome, Lexa Kom trikru. Just, uh, don't drink too much of it" Kane laughed lowly as Lexa nodded and turned to Clarke. "Clarke, let us drink together". Clarke nodded a distant look on her face, "It would be my pleasure". A villager came over with two chalices and placed them both into Gustus' hands who moved toward Lexa as Emori took a step back and placed them on the table beside the commander. The commander poured the clear moonshine into the chalices and handed one to Clarke while she kept one for herself. Emori raised her arm softly, "Allow me heda" she said and took the cup into her hands. Everyone watched curiously as Emori took a sip from the cup and when nothing happened she handed it back to Lexa as everyone visibly relaxed.
"Tonight we celebrate our newfound peace. Tomorrow, we plan our war. To those we've lost, and to those we shall soon find" Lexa announced and lifted her chalice to her lips but before she could take a sip Emori felt herself sway as she collapsed back onto the ground. All the grounders began to yell frantically as they watched their Warrior of Blood cough and seize violently on the floor. "Its poison" someone stated and Lexa dropped her cup as she went over to Emori who was trying to breathe but couldn't. "It was the sky people" Indra snapped as she pulled her sword out of her sheath and the other warriors moved the tables apart to crowd around the sky people, so they wouldn't escape. "This wasn't us. You have to know it wasn't us" Clarke yelled hoping to get through to Lexa. "Do not let her die" Lexa ordered Nyko who lifted the small coughing soldier into his arms and quickly walked out with her to heal her.
