Just as she promised him, when Chibs arrived at his new home, Elise was just moving dinner to the dining room table. Grilled chicken, grilled asparagus, and mashed potatoes. He told her how good everything looked as he washed his hands before sitting down with her. She apologized and said she didn't have any beer on hand and figured he'd prefer tea to water. He just laughed and told her it was fine as he sat down with her. They talked about their day, or the rest of their day, over dinner and his unpacking after dinner. She told him she had a space in the closet cleaned out for him to use as well as a couple drawers in her dresser for him. He thanked her with a smile.

It was now just a week away from Ava and Happy getting married. She was even more nervous than she thought she'd be. She hadn't moved into her new home yet although she had it exactly as she wanted it and had cleaned out a space in her closet and drawers in the dresser for when her new husband moved in. Massika promised that things were going to be fine and that she was going to learn to love her new husband. Ava was worried they weren't going to get along or that he wasn't going to like her. After dinner that night, she decided to text her older sister and see what she could expect.

Ava: hey sis. I'm so nervous about this wedding! What if he doesn't like me? What if we don't get along? I'm stuck with this person forever! How was your honeymoon with him? Did you really get along all that well? What happened?

Remi just smiled. Both her sisters had always looked up to her and she was usually the one who did things first. She figured since she'd been married first, they would want her opinion on things.

Remi: calm down! You have a life outside your husband so even if he doesn't like you, you have your own life to live. I'm sure he'll love you though. You're funny, creative, artistic, beautiful, and intelligent. Let things flow organically and don't try to force anything. If he doesn't want to talk, don't force it. Conversation will either happen or it won't. Tig and I had lots of silent moments but it was a comfortable silence to me.

Remi: he was very adventurous and agreed to do all the stuff I wanted to do. He even got his scuba license for me so we could go scuba diving together. We slowly got to know one another. There's still a lot we don't know about one another but we have all the time in the world to get to know one another now. We actually had a lot of fun on our honeymoon and I'm sure you two will too.

Ava: thank you sis! This is very helpful!

Remi: You're more than welcome!

Ava: hey sis, how was your honeymoon. And be honest. I'm a little worried my soon to be husband isn't going to like me.

Elise smiled at her baby sister as she sat next to Chibs watching TV that night.

Elise: we had a great time together. He was more than willing to let me make decisions about where to go and what to see since I'd been there before. He was very gentlemanly and very kind. We got to know one another quite a bit. Don't overthink things. The best advice I got was to let things happen naturally. He'll either talk to you or he won't. Don't force anything. I didn't and he was more than willing to talk and open up to me about his life and stuff. I still don't know all about his club, he told me that was a conversation for another time though.

Ava: thank you sis. This is very helpful 😊

Elise: you're more than welcome, sis. Have a good night!

Ava: you too! TTYL

Ava sat back on her bed and wondered what her wedding was going to look like. She'd already found and purchased her wedding dress. She hoped he'd like it. Her mother told her the color scheme for her wedding was an elegant black and white theme. Her dress matched the scheme and she had fallen in love with it when she saw it. The dress was slightly out of her budget but she splurged on the dress anyhow. It was in a garment bag hanging in her closet. She would be getting ready at her parents' house then would be driven to the ceremony site. Just like her sisters had done. There was just a week left of her being single. One week. Seven days. One hundred sixty-eight hours. She sighed as she rested her head against the headboard of her bed.
