Things had been going smoothly with the club. Things had been going smoothly with Elise's pregnancy. She ate a well-balanced diet, exercised regularly, and had her normal OBGYN appointments. She was getting excited when it was time for her sonogram appointment. She was dying to know what they were having so they could begin gathering the things they'd need for the baby. Gemma told her to wait on buying certain things because she was planning on throwing her a baby shower making Elise laugh figuring the biker Matriarch would. Elise did, however, begin stalking up on diapers and formula.
Chibs decided to take the day off when it was finally time for her sonogram appointment. Everyone were dying to know what the happy couple were having. Most of his brothers were making bets on what it was going to be. Gemma herself was sure it was a girl. Clay just shook his head at all the betting going on. Elise was excited but nervous all at the same time. She was wanting another girl and her husband was wanting another boy. She hoped they weren't going to have another set of twins. He drove her in her car since she was no longer able to ride on the back of his bike. He didn't think it was safe for her to be on it during that stage of her pregnancy and he took her safety very seriously. He helped her walk into the office where she checked in then had a seat next to him. They got a few odd stares but she didn't care. She loved her husband dearly and was proud to be having another child with him. Her family meant everything to her and she didn't mind they were expanding their family.
She was finally called back so Chibs helped her out of the uncomfortable plastic chair and down the hall to the exam room. Her doctor would be doing an exam before she went to have her sonogram done. The doctor asked basic questions which Elise answered honestly. They talked about her diet and level of activity making the doctor scribble down notes in her chart. Once she was satisfied, she had the nurse lead the pair into the room where her sonogram was going to be performed. Just as she'd been instructed to do, she'd drank a bunch of water to fill up her bladder to make it easier to see the baby. The pair greeted the sonographer when she arrived. Chibs watched as she prepped everything for them to see their baby for the first time. The sonographer instructed Elise to raise her top to just under her breasts so she did as she was instructed to do. Chibs watched as the sonographer applied a cold, clear liquid to his wife's stomach then put the transducer on her stomach. There popped the image of their baby on the screen!
"Can ya tell wha' it is yet?" Chibs inquired.
"We'll see if we can see. I just want to make sure everything is as it should be and there are no complications." The sonographer stated as she moved the transducer around Elise's stomach.
"Is everything ok?" Elise questioned.
"Everything is looking perfect!" The sonographer smiled at her, "Now let's see if we can see what this little one is."
She moved the transducer around a little while making the expecting parents look at one another nervously.
"A-ha! There it is!" The sonographer stated.
"I don' see anything." Chibs squinted at the screen.
"Exactly. I'm almost one-hundred percent sure you're having a little girl." The sonographer exclaimed.
"Just one baby, right?" Elise questioned.
"As far as I can tell, yes." The sonographer replied.
"Ok. Good. I'm not sure I want to go through having a set of twins again!" Elise chuckled.
"I was half-way expecting twins again!" Chibs laughed too.
"Oh. You had a set of twins already?" The sonographer asked.
"Yes. My parents had a set of twins and during their second pregnancy had a set of triplets." Elise explained.
"Wow. It's a miracle you didn'thave a second set of twins as well." The sonographer stated.
