Nathan's POV

Me and Roland were just standing inside the large room where I had fought the rats earlier, we both stared at the other end of the room where there was a door that supposedly the guests were supposed to come through and we would them fight.

Even though I've fought countless battles I still couldn't help but feel a little bit nervous about all this, I had a lot on my mind right now and the fact that I was not only going to have to fight a few fixers in a few seconds but I had to leave my daughter back in the libraries main room because there's no way I'm bringing her into danger...not that being alone with Angela is that much safer but still-

Roland: Look alive, our guests are here (Roland said getting my attention)

Sure enough two people walked through the door at the end of the room, I quickly recognized them as the two Fixers I saw talking to Finn in that sort of vision thing.

One of them looked to be a middle aged man carrying a nailed baseball bat, the other was a woman who looked around the same age and was carrying a sword kind of similar to the one me and Roland had except it looked like it was made from Iron or something, it also looked very cheaply made and was Rusty.

Nathan: (If this is the kind of gear they expected to become big time fixers with...they can keep dreaming)

Of course I shouldn't judge someone merely by their appearance, even with low grade gear somebody with the right skills can be a fearsome opponent.

The two fixers readied their weapons as me and Roland prepared ourselves for the fight.

Fixer1: Let's do this!

After that the two fixers charged at me and Roland, we both did the same and I went for the fixer with the bat while Roland charged the one with the sword.

The fixer with the bat tried to hit me in the head but I sidestepped his strike before slashing him in the side with it.

Although I did get a good hit on the Fixer and the sword tore through his side it didn't do as much damage that Twilight would have done...I guess I'm just going to have to get used to fighting without Twilight.

The other Fixer tried to stab Roland but he parked her strike before slashing her in the face with his sword and made her stumble back.

The fixer with the bat swung at me me again and I held up my sword and blocked his strike, I pushed him away and as they stumbled back they swung their bat forward blindly at me but I ducked under it before grabbing the handle of my sword with both hands and I thrust it forward right into the Fixers chest.

The sword impaled him without any real trouble and in trying to get away from me the fixer ended up stumbling backwards and slipped off the blade and fell onto the ground.

Nathan: (Well this was easy...and pathetic)

I quickly swung my sword at the fixers neck decapitating him, just as his head disconnected with his body it suddenly burst into pages of light before reforming into a book on the ground.
