Nathan's POV

Parker: I don't get where that punk gets off on acting like he's superior to us (He said with a grumble in his voice)

Nathan: Well he is a Grade 2 Fixer, of course with his level of arrogance I'm astonished at how he made it that far in the first place.

Parker: Yeah...that sucks.

Soren wasn't all show though, I mean he has to have some combat prowess to make it in the fixer business and while he is a grade 2 Fixer, combat wise I'd rank him somewhere between 4 and 5.

Then again...unlike the Hana association wants everyone to believe...or rather how everyone else sees these days...rank isn't everything.

True people have begun to care less and less about each other, the only thing that means anything now is who's a lower or higher rank than you...but that's complete bullshit because the only reason I'm still at rank 3 is because I decline the attempts at trying to promote me to a higher grade...but anyone who knows me personally would say that I'd define be up at the grade 1's

Parker: But hey, maybe that asshole will piss of the wrong office and get what's coming to him someday?

Nathan: If he continues running things the way he does now...I wouldn't be surprised if that's much sooner then we might think.

Parker: Well whatever the case Mr Richardson, I hope he learns his lesson someday.

Nathan: (In my opinion...this whole city could use a lesson about what life used to be like back then)

Things have certainly become much more...violent for starters...used to be if you so as much as slapped a woman in public the police would be on your ass in an instant but now you could stab someone to death on the sidewalk and people would just walk the other way...it's almost like the whole world is run by an anarchy yet at the same time everyone's being controlled like puppets...it's sick.

Timeskip

After about half an hour of walking with some interruptions from some street gang me and Parker were just a few blocks from the office.

Parker: So Mr Richardson...how's everything been going for you?

Nathan: Fine...why do you ask?

Parker: Just...curious.

Nathan: Right...your still thinking about the job aren't you?

Parker: Of course I am, I mean we do all the hard work and that fucking astronaut shows up at the last minute and takes all the credit and the payday...it's honestly a miracle that we've managed to stay in business.

Nathan: Well if this is about your paycheck don't worry, you'll still receive your regular amount along with Ms Wilson...Soren hasn't gotten all of them...and I did make myself clear that I'd he tries that again there will be trouble.

Parker: Man...your a way better person then my old boss used to be...how do you do it?

Nathan: Hmm...well...I can't really say...I guess I just think about what life used to be before the 'city' was established...and how everything didn't center around whoever was the strongest was the one in charge.

Parker: Well if you asked me I'd say that your the strongest out of everyone else in this city.

Nathan: Thanks Parker...but I'm just another fixer trying to make ends meet...I only happens to be more fortunate than most others on account of my past accomplishments.
