Library of Ruina 'We stand again'

Chapter 17: The first of the story guests

(A/n): In this chapter, the librarians shall face their first real challenge.

Nathan's POV

Roland: I still can't believe someone's actually trying to continue with trying to create human animal hybrids.

Nathan: I guess that just goes to show that not all projects stay abandoned forever, sooner or later someone's bound to pick up the pieces.

Currently me and Roland were just sitting in the cafeteria while Lily was entertaining herself by trying to balance various plates on forks, lately the whole excitement from being in this library was starting to ware down and now she's starting to get bored so she's trying to entertain herself.

Roland: But still though, I never really saw Dr D light as the kind of person who would try to continue that kind of work.

Nathan: He's probably desperate to climb out of the backstreets and back into the nest with K Corp, or at the very least live a better life, which I don't blame him.

Roland: The backstreets are certainly no picnic, but I wonder if his whole animal human hybrids scheme will really work out.

Nathan: Hey you never know, some people will never admit it but their into cat girls, that guys basically just making their fantasy a reality.

Roland: Personally I don't see the appeal in cat girls, or any sort of animal hybrid.

Nathan: I thinks it stems from a desire for something a little more 'exotic' then what people would normally-

All of a sudden my vision went completely blank before suddenly...nothing.

Suddenly I'm the darkness I overheard a voice

???: (Huff) (Huff) Ok, I think I lost them (I heard what sounded to be a young boy who was out of breath)

Nathan: What the? Did Angela send an invitation without telling us?

It's weird thought, even thought I can hear what sounds to be a young boy speaking the scenery is still black and I can't see anything.

???: Sheesh, talk about a rude awakening, one moment I'm contemplating life in cabin number 4 and the next thing I know I'm waking up in this nightmare of a city as getting chased by some weird freaks in masks with sickles and containers of blood on their backs.

Nathan: Cabin number 4? What's he talking about? I mean it sounds like he got chased by sweepers based on that description he gave but...how come he didn't call them sweepers?

Just who is this kid? It would help if I could at least get a good look at him? But for some reason my vision still isn't clearing.

Maybe their somewhere really dark? No this is too pitch black for it to be that.

???: (Sigh) Dammit, really wish I could have some guidance right about now, Paulina, Lauren or Chiron, some sort of familiar face would be appreciated right about now.

Nathan: (I wonder if anyone else is seeing this whole vision thing along with me, or am I still in the cafeteria just staring blankly right now?)
