Library of Ruina 'We stand again'

Chapter 16: The 'slightly' mad Doctor

Angela's POV

While those three were talking I subtly left and began to make my way towards the front of the library, as I did I kept thinking about one thing in particular.

Angela: (I understand why Mr Richardson would bother feeding Lily seeing as how she isn't effected by the library and still needs to sleep and eat, but why is everyone else insisting on eating? Whatever, I have a more important task to manage.

Eventually I made it to the front of the library and began to say my usual greeting.

Angela: Greetin-

Before I could finish my sentence however I was suddenly hit in the face by a metal bat, of course I can't be harmed so the bat just bounced right off of me.

Lulu: Shut up! I don't need a greeting from a despicable piece of junk.

Lulu: I'm here for Mars's book, I'll get his book, kill all the monsters here, and blow your head clean off.

I rubbed my forehead where she had hit me for a bit, the blow didn't really hurt me, it felt like just a slight thud against my body.

I looked behind Lulu and saw that she had a pair of who I presumed where fixers with her, one of them was carrying a spear while the other held a short sword.

Angela: I'm afraid your third statement is going to difficult for you to fulfill, dear guest.

Lulu: I said shut up.

Angela: (Sigh)...may you find your book in this place.

Nathan's POV

Me, Roland and Petra stood there at our respective side of the stage waiting for Lulu to show up.

Nathan: Well this is gonna suck.

Petra: I really wish we didn't have to kill people indiscriminately like this.

Roland: Look, we can't let our personal feelings get in the way of-

Slam

All of our eyes turned towards the end of the stage where we saw that Lulu had shoved the door and was panting with rage, her eyes quickly scanned across the whole stage until they landed on me.

Lulu: You!

Nathan: Ok before you-

Lulu: Shut up and fucking die!

Lulu then ran directly at me with her bat, blind fury clearly seen in her eyes.

Nathan: (Well shit)

Suddenly two other fixers charged along with Lulu a few moments after she did and Roland and Petra followed me, Lulu swung her bat at me but I was able to block her strike before pushing her back but she just came right back at me and tried to hit me in the head.

She was striking much harder and more desperately then last time, clearly this whole Mars thing has her torn up.

But sadly I can't let my feelings get in the way right now, I have my own reasons to fight.

I sidestepped another one of her strikes before stabbing her in the thigh with my sword, she yelped in pain but suddenly hit me in the chest with the tip of her at effectively pushing me away.
