You looked back at the brothers expectantly and watched as Sans seemed to disappear from existence. You sighed and turned back to Papyrus for any sort of answer, and his gloved hand was scratching his chin in thought. You tried to come up with a reasonable answer to your question, but you really only knew Sans could teleport. Though there was no chance he could have helped because he had no idea where you had been.
You knew you would have to research it on your own unless Papyrus gave you an answer. "I CANNOT THINK OF ANYONE ELSE BESIDES SANS..." Papyrus started pacing around the room in thought, and you stood up from your chair. You stretched out your back and turned to face Papyrus again.
"It's nothing we need to worry about right now. I can always find the mysterious person some other time." You gave him a soft smile and he nodded. You glanced back at the thrown open bedroom door and saw it had left an imprint in the wall. "Ah shit-"
"LANGUAGE!"
"Sorry Papyrus, I just saw your wall was broken from your door handle." You pointed it out and he glanced at it and groaned.
"I CAN FIX IT LATER, WE HAVE SPACKLE DOWNSTAIRS." He announced while holding a gloved hand to his forehead. You giggled once more and had a soft smile on your face. You had really, really missed these guys. Sans-- not so much-- but seeing Papyrus made your soul swell with joy. Subconsciously your soul was shedding it's joy in a soft turquoise aura around you.
"HUMAN? YOU'RE DOING MAGIC." Papyrus glanced at the glow in confusion and slight fear, and you just laughed again.
"Oh, sorry! I'm just really happy right now." You smiled and continued, "I can try to stop it if you'd like." You offered and he shrugged.
"WHAT DOES IT DO? IS IT HARMFUL?"
"Not necessarily... it's kinda just happiness manifested? Similar to a drug in some ways, but all it does is make people nearby share a similar happiness to my own. I, uh, have never been good at controlling it when my emotions reach extremities and this happens." You rubbed the back of your neck and felt the heat coming off your face.
"OH. OKAY!" he spoke just as cherrily as before, yet even though he was okay with it you made an active effort to recall your happiness into yourself. God knows you don't want Sans to think you're tricking his brother into forgiving you, and that thought made your magic decrease and shrink back into your being.
"So! Would you like to do anything together?" You offered up with a smile, half of you wanted it to be a yes and the other half was worried about getting home in time. You really needed to move out-- or invest in a phone for yourself.
"HMM, WOULD YOU LIKE TO WATCH METTATON WITH ME?" He blushed a faint orange, and you happily agreed. Papyrus led the way downstairs and immediately began to set up the perfect movie watching spot. He brought out a bag of chisps from a cupboard in the kitchen and reheated up a spaghetti dish for him to enjoy. "I DON'T USUALLY EAT ON THE COUCH, SO PLEASE HUMAN DON'T MAKE A MESS." He commanded you.
"Of course!" You agreed and settled on the couch next to him, keeping your distance but still being near. Papyrus quickly pulled up his favorite Mettaton movie, or well that was your guess considering how heavy the blush grew on his face. He smiled wider-- if that was even possible-- and pressed play.
