"Hey you're on time! Woah, what's all over your face?"

"Actually, Malcolm, I'm early meaning that I get to wash this gunk off my face and change out of these dreadful clothes so, ha!" He in turn laughed at you and nudged you back towards the kitchen, where you found Wilson, who you conveniently had to switch shifts with, and Mia. Wilson started flirtily walking towards you but before he could get to you Mia spoke,

"What planet did you come from Y/N?" Mia walked over to you and took off her glove and touched your face all over. "You look nice hon." She patted your face and threw on a different glove for her left hand. Wilson wolf whistled at you and Mia laughed.

"I'm gonna change and wash this off," you paused to glare at the teenager,"then I'll clock in, cool?" Mia nodded and you shouldered your backpack to align it on your back better and went to the bathroom.

Inside the restaurant there was only one bathroom, which is somewhat abnormal for your style of restaurant. MMM (Mia's Magnificent Menu) was a sit down restaurant with a host and a waiter along with a bartender and a cook. IT was a small shop with about 6 or eight total tables, each sitting at least two people. The number of tables fluctuates depending on the restaurant's mood or feel for the day. The restaurant was small though, with the kitchen and seating areas being two equal halves, with a cut out space for a bathroom near the bar. It was decorated with simple colors, staying with the base wall and floor color being a tan, the seating being tan and green, and the accents being yellow. The yellow was mostly surrounding the bar as it was open every hour that the restaurant was open.

When you made it to the bathroom it had a different color scheme. The tiled floors matched the kitchens white and black while the walls were grey, not from age but that was the intended color which too matched the kitchen, and finally the toilet and sink were both their natural ceramic white color. In the bathroom there was a speaker built into the ceiling, which was also littered around the restaurant, playing some calming royalty free music. Sadly, MMM wasn't big enough to play certain radio stations or certain artists' music, and because of the security cameras constantly recording, things were difficult. Though it was great instrumental music which gave off a latin vibe to the restaurant.

Though the music choice had no reflections on the menu of the restaurant. Mia designed it to be all of her favorite dishes along with her family members favorites. So for breakfast there was the traditional pancakes and bacon with eggs, but there were also sausages and beans on the menu for breakfast. Then the lunch menu had a classic peanut butter and jelly on it, along with a caesar salad and sandwiches galore. Dinner was your personal favorite. There were traditional latin dishes made by Mia and there were dishes from asia like plov and American dishes like a hamburger or fries. The dessert at the restaurant was normal desserts like ice cream and chocolate cake. You loved working at the restaurant because of all the good smells and flavors from every dish.

You looked in the mirror to get one last look at your expensive outfit and then proceeded to strip and change into your work clothes. You luckily had two pairs of work clothes which made laundry days easier. The waiter outfit you wore was a white apron, black skinny jeans, and a green button up top. Personally, you would roll the sleeves up/keep the sleeves down to fit your own aesthetic. You clipped your hair out of your face and changed into flats. Taking one last look in the mirror, you shoved everything inside of your backpack and walked back to the kitchen, making the grand decision to wear the makeup. You needed more tip money for a present for Malcolm soon. It wasn't his birthday or anything you just wanted to pay him back for taking you home two days ago, or one, depending on if you count 2am with the day before or after.

Walking to the clock-in sheet hanging on the back of the door you grabbed the pen attached to the bottom of it and signed your name to the clock-in your shift. There were still technically a few minutes before you started, it was only 6:56pm and you weren't the type to do work until you had to. So you walked behind the bar to chill with Malcolm until your shift started. He was like an older brother to you and you've looked up to him since you began working here.
