Soon after, your little monster friend disappeared. They had healed you enough for you to be able to get help from the seventh floor. The firefighter was extremely gentle with you, and helped you down as slow as you needed. You couldn't stand on your own, and within seconds of you reaching the ground your family was at your side. You cried into your mother's shoulder while your father rubbed your back. Your brother stood by, ready for whatever you needed.

"Ms. Clermont I need to ask you some questions, if thats alright." A police officer asked.

"Oh, you will do no such thing! That is ny baby girl who had just been through a traumatic-" You cut your mom off,

"Of course," You wiped your face down with your hands, trying to smooth out your appearance. "What do you need to know?" You mom hugged you closer to her body.

"We'll have to take you to the station, if you are physically able to do so; otherwise, we can ask you questions at the hospital nearby." He spoke and held his hands on his belt. You nodded and said you preferred the hospital over the station. After that, you were rushed into an ambulance and put onto a stretcher. Your mother and father were gripping your hands, and your brother had to follow along in his own car.

It was far, far too loud for you, you realised and moved your hands to cover your ears. You shut your eyes tightly and all your mind could think of was making the loud noises stop, or the friendly monster coming back to heal you. They could help you, you were sure of it. Your mother patted your forehead and moved your hair out of your face. You opened your eyes and flinched away from her touch. She frowned but leaned back more in her seat. You exhaled sharply with a wobbly breath and tried to sit the ride out as calmly as possible.

Your mother moved to touch you again and you flinched backwards with a painful hiss. "Honey, are you okay?" Your mom asked and you made no move to reply. You shut your eyes tighter and squeezed your head to try and block out the noise. It was all too much for you. The ride was thankfully over quickly and you were rushed into a hospital room. Doctors rushed around you checking your vitals and the other injuries you've obtained.

Turns out you had some bad burns on your back, and the backs of your legs and you had a mild concussion from the force of hitting the floor. They put you on some general pain relievers and bandaged up your legs and back to try and sooth the burn. You mentioned getting healed by some monster-- but no one believed you. Finally the doctors left you in the room with your family and dimmed the room's lights.

You were going to be questioned at any moment, and you would be ushering your parents out of the room. You had to talk about the event even though it was all too fresh. You felt your heart speed up and your sweat glands opening across your face and palms. You wiped your head with the back of your hands and rubbed your hands on the hospital bed's sheets. There was a knock at the door and your father let the officer come in. You gulped and sat up straighter.

"I'm sorry to have you do this so soon Ms. Clermont," he spoke and you just nodded. He turned towards your family and asked if they could leave the room while you were being questioned. They tried to argue but you gave them a begging look, and they left.

"So, can you tell us what happened before the alarms went and the building shut down."

"Yea," You said shakily, your voice wavered as you continued. "It was a normal-normal day. I was checking in on Salim after talking to Mrs. Hanthe in the hallway."

"Mrs. Hanthe?" He interrupted. You nodded and explained that she was checking on you and was one of your father's assistants. He waved his hand and signalled for you to continue.
