"Hey Honey, how are you doing?" Your mom said as she entered your room with a tray carrying breakfast. You just looked at her until in acknowledgement. You had less than nothing to say to anyone at this moment. She set the tray off to the side of your bed, and gave you a pitiful smile. You couldn't muster up a smile back. "I just came in to give you some breakfast, and to let you know that we called into your classes and work saying you weren't able to come in." She sweetly smiled at you. You nodded and looked down at the plate in front of you.

On the main plate there was a stack of four pancakes piled high with butter and syrup. The slightly smaller plate next to it had some eggs with salsa on them. There was also a bowl of blueberries and strawberries next to a glass of water. You looked back up at your mom and took a painful breath before trying to speak. "Thanks," you muttered with a wince. She nodded and left your room, shutting the door behind her. You held your arms out in front of you once more to glance at the damage that was done. You peeled the comforter and sheet back with your left hand before swinging your legs off your bed.

You glanced at the bruises on your leg from the rope.

You shook your head vigorously and stood up. You walked to the bathroom and opened the door. You looked at your reflection in the mirror and glanced at how dead you looked. Somehow your hair looked disgustingly grey in some parts and in others it looked thinner. The bandage that wrapped around your head was bloodied on your forehead and near your covered eye, but other than that it was pristine white. The one on your neck was of a similar fate, which was white and red. You hadn't noticed the blood last night, nor had you felt it.

You lifted your shirt off in the mirror and discovered that someone had changed you out of the old bra and underwear you had on. You cringed thinking it may have been your doctor. The pajama shirt was discarded on the floor and you poked and prodded at the bandage that covered your ribs. It had seemingly stung more than it had last night, though you can't exactly remember what happened after-the-fact. You grabbed a clip and put your hair back out of your face, so you could see as well as possible with only one eye. You glanced at the overall physical damage to your body and sighed.

God, you looked like a wreck.

Sure maybe it wasn't the best time to be thinking like that, as you had just been kidnapped, but you couldn't help yourself. You had hideous bruises on your legs, ankles, and probably your wrists even though you couldn't see them. You looked back up at the mirror and looked yourself in the eye, which looked puffy and red. You left the bathroom and walked over to your dresser and grabbed a pair of high waisted-leggings and a cropped hoodie. You tried to use both your hands to pull the pants on, but after trying it you decided to just use your left.

Once your clothes were on you walked over to your laptop on your dresser. You haven't checked it since yesterday. When you opened it, it looked as if you had just closed the lid. Your quizlet tab was still open, and your messaging app was displaying messages from Papyrus. You bit your tongue and closed the app, it was too painful to remember those... those monsters from yesterday. Sure they didn't look the same, but everyone knew their souls were different from a human's soul.

They were all colorless and white and took the upside shape instead of the right side up. It looked like an arrowhead from the descriptions given. There were no photos of souls online-- that you could find-- as it was the most personal thing a being could have. You don't just share that with everybody. The souls were shimmery and shiny and light based on description. Like they could do no wrong and were made of pure innocence. You scoffed at the thought and moved to your bed to start your breakfast.
