"what the hell..." Sans looked at the group of people who were surrounding the building from the outside and heard one of them calling the police. He stood with the group of people for what felt like hours, wondering if she had already left or was trapped inside the building. As he watched the building alongside the group he felt his skull start to sweat. Was it getting hotter?
No, no it wasn't
There was magic surrounding the seventh floor in a thick cloud. Being a monster-- it was like second nature to be able to feel magic in the air, some could even see it in the air. It was so thick on that floor and then the bubble burst.
The metal shutters on the building banged themselves together and he could just barely make out a bright orange light behind it. He watched as the bright flame-like light grew more and more visible as the seconds wore on. Then, the bubble popped.
The shutters were thrown off the window and people in the group surrounding him screamed. The shutters crashed onto the city street with a loud crash and he heard a car alarm start to blare. Sans whipped his head around and was greeted with the sight of a crushed car underneath one of the metal coverings. He was lucky his motorcycle was unharmed.
People in the group he was in started to scream. He looked up and saw a metal shutter raining down onto their group. He raised his left hand to catch it in his magic, but one of the other people around caught it first. He glanced over at the woman who had caught it. It was falling slowly, at a snail's pace it seemed, the girls hands were encased in a light blue magic, and her eyes were glowing the same color.
He took his turn and encased it in a darker blue and willed the girl to release the shrapnel. He took hold of it and set it down in an alley to the right of the building. The girl nodded at the skeleton and wiped her forehead and looked back up at the floor. He too looked back at the building and heard another person nearby call the fire department to the building.
It took a painstaking thirty minutes for the cops to show up alongside the fire department. He was corralled into the group of people who were sitting there waiting. He watched the firefighters run into the building after prying open the metal mesh covering the entrance.
The first people that made it out were an old lady and a random cop. The old lady seemed scared, but not harmed. The cop was helping her out of the building and they left together. The old lady held the cops arm and was led off to the side and started calling someone.
He waited, and waited, and waited. He was sick of waiting.
People were ushered out of the building in small groups and looked completely unharmed. He could hear subtle passing conversations between the people who left the building. They would murmur about the boss and what he would do about this situation, but no one mentioned her name.
He for a split moment wanted to compare this horrendous waiting to the time he spent underground waiting for it to be over, waiting for them to die again, waiting for another reset. He was always left waiting it seemed.
The floors were cleared out more and more and he was faintly aware of an ambulance behind the group. The cops had tried to usher them away, but apparently they could only do so much. He watched an older man get paraded out of the building followed by three people who crowded close to him. The man was completely unharmed, but looked more than a little bit worried.
He kind of resembled Y/N, but he figured it was just a coincidence. All humans looked the same to him anyways, he could barely understand how they told one another apart. He understood when there were big differences like height, skin color, and hair color, but they'd have to be black and white for him to tell the difference.
