Couple of weeks later there's a random knock at Fornells door.

Fornell: "Who the hell is knocking on my door at 5:30 in the morning? Why am I up at 5:30 in the morning?"

Man: "Tobias Fornell?"
Fornell: "Yes?"
Women: "May we come in?"
Fornell: "No."

Man: "Sir, we're from the DoD."

Fornell: "Alright come in."
Woman: "We would like to ask you some questions about your friend Leroy Jethro Gibbs."
Fornell: "He's been dead 4 years now, shouldn't you guys at DoD know that?"
Man: "We know the circumstances of that, and we do know he's alive."
Woman: "Do you know any information pertaining to the incident on 21st of November 2021 at FOB Sykes?"
Fornell: "No, I don't."
Man: "Has he not spoken about it?"
Fornell: "We know after he woke up from a coma he said "Me and grenades don't mix together." That's the last thing he said about the attack."
Woman: "Okay thanks, we'll talk more later, here's my card if you think of anything else, call me."
Fornell: "Okay."

Those same DoD agents go to NCIS and question the team about Gibbs past, they also pay a visit to Abby, DiNozzo and Ziva. Leaving everyone confused and wondering what was going on.

At NCIS.

Bishop: "Hey McGee?"

McGee: "Yeah Bish?"
Bishop: "We're headin out to get a drink, wanna come?"
McGee: "Sure, who's all coming?"
Bishop: "Tony, Ziva, Vance, Ducky, Jimmy, Kasie, Abby, Fornell and Jack."
McGee: "What time?"

Torres: "9:00 baby."
McGee: "See you guys there"

At the bar.

Tony: "Hey Bish."
Bishop: "Good to see you Tony, Ziva."
Tony: "Good to see you too."
Ziva: "Good to see you Eleanor."
Jack: "Hey guys.'

Tony: "Jack."
Ziva: "How are you?"
Jack: "I'm doing just fine, how about you?"
Zive: "Same."
Ducky: "Well, looks like we're a bit early."
Tony: "Ducky."
Ducky: "Hello Anthony."
Ziva: "Duck."
Ducky: "Ziva."
McGee: "How's it going guys?"

Tony: "I was about to ask you the same thing Tim."
McGee: "Good."

Jimmy: "Look who I found."
Ducky: Hello Abigail, Kasie."

Abby: "Hey Duckman."

Kasie: "Duck."

Fornell: "Did I miss the party?"

Torres: "Aye Toby."
McGee: "Hey, Fornell."
Torres: "First rounds on me."

Couple of hours later.

Tony: "Did any of you get some DoD spooks asking you questions about Gibbs today?"
Abby: "I did."
Vance: "They came to NCIS today."

Fornell: "They came to my house too."
Tony: "What'd they ask you?"
McGee: "Things Gibbs did."=

Ducky: "They asked me the more personal questions."

Tony: "The weirdest thing they didn't ask is how we met Gibbs."

Torres: "Yo Tony, how'd you meet him?"
Tony: "Funny story actually."
McGee: "Yeah Tony, how'd you meet Gibbs?"
Tony: "In 2000 I was a Baltimore detective, me and my partner got a lead on this drug buyer, so we set up a stake out and watched until the courier came and sold our guy the drugs. Couple hours later the guy comes, so we bust 'em. Well the courier takes off running, my partner arrests the one guy and I chase the other one, 5 blocks later, I finally tackle him. He punched me, I punched him back. The courier was Gibbs, the buyer was Navy."
Torres: "You punched Gibbs in the face?"
Bishop: "And survived?"
Tony: "Yeah and I wouldn't have caught him if he didn't want to be caught."
McGee: "Oh jeez."
Tony: "Since we're on the "how'd you meet Gibbs." Ducky, how'd you meet him?"
Ducky: "Quite a fascinating story actually."

Bishop: "Come on Ducky."

Ducky: "In 1980, I had just moved here from Scotland, so I wasn't used to the driving style here. I was on the wrong side of the road and I T-boned this man. He was deceased on impact. While metro PD was looking into the accident, they heard knocking in the trunk. The officers opened it up and there was Jethro shoved in the back of the car."

Jack: "What!?"
Tony: "Why didn't he use his ninja skills to stop him?"

Ducky: "He said there were people around."

(Laughter)

Jack: "Hey come one Leon, how'd you meet Gibbs?"
Leon: "Heh, that's funny actually."
Torres: "Come on Director."

Leon: "Alright it was either 98' or 99', I was arguing Agent McCallister-"
McGee: "The agent that tried to kill you?"
Leon: "We're not going to talk about that right now, as I was saying, I got so mad I slammed my fist down on the table right into a toaster strudel and right about then Gibbs walks in and says "Hey man what's your problem that was mine."
All: (Laughing)

Jack: "Your friendship started because you ruined his breakfast."
Vance: "It was to my knowledge that your first encounter didn't go as planned."
Jack: "Oh you're good."
Fornell: "Come on Jack."
Torres: "Yeah, come on Sloane."

Jack: "Alright fine. So I had just moved from San Diago to D.C, you know this, But I had heard about this hard to handle agent, and I wanted to see him in his natural habitat."
Bishop: "You heard about Gibbs all the way in California?"
Jack: "Yep, but they didn't call him Gibbs."
Torres: "What'd they call him?"
Jack: "You don't want to know."

Fornell: "Okay, continue."

Jack: "Well I thought he had no clue who I was when I showed up on his porch in the middle of a hurricane, but he did and he played me the whole time."
Tony: "What'd you do?"
Jack: "So I told him my car broke down, he offered to take a look at it, in the middle of a hurricane, I told him that I'd call the towing company and they'd be there in a couple of hours."

Jack: "We were talking and he asked me if I was some kind of "Decorator person."
Kasie: "What?"
Jack: "Interior decorator."
All: "Ahh.'
Jack: "I told him no, that I was a doctor then me being an idiot and not realizing he caught onto who I was, guessed what he did."

Ziva: "What did you say?"
Jack: "Carpenter, then cowboy."
All: (Laugh)

McGee: "How long did it take him to figure you out?"
Jack: "30 seconds."
All: "Ouch!"

A couple more hours later, Vance, Bishop, Torres, Jack, Ducky, Jimmy, Kasie, Abby, Tony and McGee decide to do some karaoke..drunk.

Ziva: "Are we going to actually let them do drunken karaoke?"
Fornell: "Yes and I'm going to record it."
Ziva: "Fair enough."
