Jack woke up in a heavy sweat, breathing heavily, tears streaming down her cheeks.
She looked over to the her nightstand and saw the time. She knew she wasn't going back to sleep. The ache still in her heart. It's been 5 years, she still thinks about him every day, how things could've been different if she had stayed in DC, instead of running off and hiding in the dangerous terrain of Afghanistan. She looked over to the picture of her and him together, the picture he threatened to shoot her if she showed anyone. She picked it up and starred at it.
"I miss you cowboy, just wish we had more time. Love you."
