Static In The Air

Jack gets Gibbs to NCIS, and they take him to dinner.

Tony: "Hey boss."

Gibbs: "DiNozzo."
Ziva: "Hey Gibbs."
Gibbs: "Ziver."

Ziva: "Could you give us a minute?"
All: "Yeah."

Ziva: "Gibbs, I wanted to apologize....for the-the- I blamed you for Sahar, and I wanted to-to....say I'm sorry, I want-wanted to tell you, but then-then we thought you were dead and I lived with that regret and I know that-that if I needed you...you would've dropped everything and been there. I-I used the anger I had in myself and threw it all onto you, and-and I know...you-you just wanted to help, I-I guess what I'm getting at. I'm so sorry Gibbs."

Gibbs: "Come here." (Pulls her into a hug)

Ziva: '"Thank you."

Tony: "Feel better Ziva?"
Ziva: "Yes."

Jack: (Whispers) "How about you cowboy?"

Gibbs: "Fine."

Waiter: "Please follow me."

Vance: "Thank you."

Ducky: "Well Jethro, you must be thrilled to be out of your prison."

Gibbs: "No idea Duck."

Ducky: (Chuckles)

An hour later.

Tony: "Hey Gibbs, you've been getting stared at since you got here."
Gibbs: "Noticed that."
Tony: "Oh course you did."

Jack: "You're being watched."

Gibbs: "Yep."
Jack: "Why?"

Gibbs: "No idea."

Jack: "It's a bit uncomfortable."

Gibbs: "How do you think I feel?"

Gibbs: "Been getting stared at for months."

Jack: "I think I know why."
Gibbs: "Why?"
Jack: "Really Gibbs? Even though you don't think so, you're a hero."

Gibbs: "Ah Jack-"

Jack: "It's true."

Gibbs: (Sharp exhale)

Ducky: "Jethro are you alright?"
Gibbs: "Yeah...Duck I-I'm fine."

This man comes up behind Gibbs and puts his hand on his shoulder, Gibbs grabs the man's hand and twists it.

Man: "Woah Leroy, didn't think you had that in you."

Gibbs: "What the hell Morgan!?"
Morgan: "It should be me asking you, I heard you kicked the bucket 5 years ago."

Gibbs: "Death didn't like me."

Morgan: "On that note, how ya been?"

Gibbs: "Been better, you?"
Morgan: "I'm been g-"

Jack: "Are you going to introduce us?"

Morgan: "And who would this beautiful woman be?"
Gibbs: "East there."
Jack: "Jack Sloane. You are?"

Morgan: "Morgan Sandoval, and don't mind him, he's more bark than bite."
All: "No."

All: "I doubt that very much."

Jack: "How do you two know each other?"
Morgan: "Think we can tell 'em?"
Gibbs: "Been 37 years."

Morgan: "We needed his help in what was it, 89'?"

Gibbs: "Yeah."
Morgan: "We needed I a sniper, so my team heard about this at the time young hot shot Marine sniper, who just got back from Panama, never missed a shot, so I recruited him."

Morgan: "We got Gibbs, and sent him down to Columbia, with him."

Tony: "That's why you didn't tell us how you and Gibbs met."
Morgan: "The target was Pablo Escobar, Gibbs got from 2200 yards away.

Jack: "Damn, nice shot."
McGee: "Wait, boss, you killed one of the most notorious drug lords of the 80s?"

Gibbs: "Yes."

Tony: "How did we not know this?"
Morgan: "So I heard you've had a hell of a couple of years."
Gibbs: "Yeah."
Morgan: "Such a talker aint he?"
All: "We're used to it at this point."

Gibbs: "Is something ma'am?"
Waiter: "We wanted to thank you for your service."
Gibbs: "Thanks."
Manager: "And your meal is on us."

Gibbs: "Oh no you dont-'
Manager: "It's the least we can do."

Gibbs: "Okay."

After dinner at the safe house.

Agent: "Goodnight Sir."
Gibbs: "Call me Gibbs."
Agent: "With all due respect, I'm not going to do that, common courtesy Sir."

Gibbs: "Okay."
