third person.

after a chaotic trip throughout the airport caused by zach arriving late to where everyone planned to meet, the group eventually boarded the flight and each of them took their seats.

nicole offered to sit beside june on the flight after her last minute plan to have corbyn and mollie sat together, which only resulted in jack being in a bad mood as he took his seat in between daniel and jonah, a frown on his face as he stared at nicole.

corbyn was one of the last to get to his seat, stopping along the aisle of the plane to help an elderly lady put her bag in the top compartment before he did the same with his, and soon took a seat beside mollie with a smile on his face.

"who allowed you to have the window seat?" he asked, pulling the hood of his hoodie off of his head as mollie looked over at him.

"i did," she shrugged, "are you going to cry about it?"

"yeah i might." corbyn folded his arms, "it's tempting to."

"after you were just a nice man and helped an elderly you're going to be a baby and cry about a seat?"

"mollie," the boy mumbled as he turned his head towards her, "you're so mean."

"i humble you." she told him.

"okay but you could do it in a much-"

"are you trying to argue with me?"

"yes it's fun," corbyn smiled and nodded, watching her roll her eyes as he grabbed his small carry on beside his feet, "anyway so i got something for you."

"i'm not accepting a dunkin." mollie told him with a stern tone in his voice, watching his smile fade slightly before he pulled out a box of nerds, "i'm not accepting that either."

"okay, fine." corbyn said, handing her a bag of pretzels as she slowly frowned, "there's also a chocolate bar, popcorn or cookies."

"do you have anything savoury besides pretzels?" the girl asked, watching him pause for a moment before looking into his bag, "is that a mary poppins bag? how the hell do you fit all of that in there?"

"first of all, no idea i just shove stuff in there and hope for the best," he replied, "second of all, i have some goldfish? we can always share after takeoff."

"..okay," she said, "just to warn you in advance planes are not my thing i might get-"

"if you get anxious i'm here," corbyn interrupted her, "but i can't get you fresh air for a panic attack unless you want me to throw you off the plane, just so you know."

a smile appearing on mollie's face, she let out a slight laugh before shaking her head and tucking her hair behind her ears, "you're so annoying."

"the best i can do is get you water and put my arms around you," he said, putting on his seatbelt as mollie nodded, "is that good?"

"yeah that's fine." mollie replied, "nic also said she had some drugs with-"

"don't say that on a plane idiot." corbyn covered her mouth with his hand, "be a little quieter about the word drugs unless you want to get stopped and searched."

rolling her eyes the girl removed his hand away from her face, "okay, sleeping pills, she has those."

"nic," corbyn called out, turning his head around the seat towards the row behind them, "you got any sleeping pills for first time flyer back here?"

"i do," nicole nodded, "you want them now?"

"yeah, just in case." corbyn said, watching nicole grab the box from her bag before handing them to the boy in front of her, "thank you very much."

"i look so stupid being anxious about a flight at nineteen," mollie spoke up, folding her arms and looking out of the window whilst the flight attendants stood along the aisle.

"no one is judging you, so many people have a fear of flying it's normal." corbyn reassured the girl, "just relax, nothing will happen."

as mollie replied with a nod, the conversations on the plane soon came to a close with the flight attendants beginning their safety speech in case of emergencies and although corbyn was trying his best to listen, the boy handed the girl one of the pills and a bottle of water.

"take it when they finish talking," he whispered to her, looking back at the flight attendants.

after the health and safety precautions were finished and the flight was preparing for take-off, mollie had already taken the pill and was waiting for it to kick in, whilst nicole and june were putting their time beside each other to good use.

"so," june said, "that is corbyn, right?"

"yeah," nicole nodded, "mollie told you about him?"

"yeah she did say that's her ex," june replied as she sighed, "she went on this whole thing about him, but they seem like more."

"they're a bit on and off," nicole shrugged, "i didn't think she'd tell you about it."

"well i told her about my situation with my ex," june mentioned, "and i'm working out things with her, so mollie told me about hers, we're both kind of in similar situations right now."

"oh," she paused, "so you both just see each other as a hook up?"

"kind of," june said, "but we do consider each other friends too. it's a friends with benefits thing i'd say. i think mollie wanted me to come so she would feel less awkward around everyone else?"

"she said harper suggested it and i think you were first to her mind about who to bring with her," nicole nodded, "which makes sense now, but it would help her feel less like a third wheel around people."

"yeah i'm surprised every single one of you are in relationships," june said through a small laugh.

"it was all thanks to mollie and corbyn, they bought both friend groups together and now we're all couples," nicole explained as she shrugged and smiled.

"i'm guessing that guy with the curly hair is your boyfriend by the way he's staring at you," june gestured over to jack.

"yeah uh, he's quite hurt i told him to sit with daniel and jonah." nicole said, "he's very needy, in a good way."

june nodded in response to nicole before turning her head towards the window as the plane was taking off, enjoying their comfortable silence they had soon fallen back into as nicole glanced around the rest of the group scattered throughout the plane.

less than a half hour into the flight there, when half of the bag of goldfish had been eaten and the cover for the window mollie was sat beside had been closed, she was soon found asleep with her head resting on corbyn's shoulder.

his head was leant against hers as he scrolled through his phone and continued eating the goldfish, before placing a spare hoodie over her to keep her warm and wrapping his arm around her for comfort, enjoying the rest of the flight to la.
