Y/N's POV:
Ew, coffee. I never understand why I have the coffee shop in my daily, but typical, routine. I am one hundred per cent a tea person, it's always been the better beverage, maybe that's the British in me from living there for so long. Oh well, it's not like it would make a difference here in the states, they don't know the first thing about the perfect cuppa.
As a person of my standard, everything in my routine needed to seem as normal as possible, even if I wasn't. I wasn't your typical girl, oh no, I was much more than that. My enhanced abilities put me ahead of your typical person, this is why my routine was so important, it was the best cover for me to keep.
"Can I get you anything sweet?"
I look up from my laptop swiftly closing its lid to meet the eyes of my typical waitress, I crack a cheeky smile.
"Ah Adrianna, how are you, my love?" I finish the sentence with a certain twang of my accent that I know by now drives her crazy. The blush that rose to her cheeks always made me feel that much more confident in myself, even though I already know that I am a complete lady killer.
She gently bit her lip whilst playing with the pages of her notepad and smiled back at me.
"I am fine, thank you, how are you, Sarah?"
I let a small chuckle fall from my lips. Sarah. Now that is the name that I ensure to tell people. To protect my own back, but that is something she will never know, no matter how close she thinks she might be to me. She is just some girl at the end of the day.
I let my eyes roam up and down her slender figure with no attempt of hiding it. I have no embarrassment or shame, I have already seen her in much less than what I am looking at her in now. I snap back from my impure thoughts and raise my eyes back up to meet hers.
"I'll take a hot chocolate please my lo-"
My sentence was cut short by a fangirl-ish scream causing me to roll my eyes and turn to face that direction.
Snazzy car? Big entrance? Shitty looking beard? Wow, who else could it possibly be then the famous Tony Stark. What a complete tosser. I look back at Adrianna to finish my order only to see she's rushed out with the other girls in the coffee shop to fawn over him.
"Well this just got lame."
I glance to my left to see where the voice came from and I notice the owner of the joint, Marcus. Marcus is your typical coffee guy, I think if I gave him the chance to be able to sleep with coffee he would. The guy is obsessed.
I laugh and nod.
"Yeah just a bit, I don't see why they adore him so much. He's an asshole."
He raises his eyebrow at me and I furrow my own confused with the look he was giving me.
"You're an asshole, yet girls still fawn over you? Put two and two together idiot."
I look at him blankly.
"Yep...I don't follow."
He groans loudly at me but ends up sounding like a goose much to his and my surprise. We both fall silent, me trying to stifle my laugh but I can't, I need to let it out. I laugh clutching my stomach.
"Yo-you, ha ha ha, you soun- HAHAH."
I'm met with a sharp jab to the shoulder making my laugh come to an end and I shoot him a vicious glare.
"Don't lay your hands on me. That's my only warning."
He looks at me confused with a hint of fear but I just get up ignoring him and walk past him towards the exit of the shop. I didn't mean to threaten him like that. Well, I did but not as severely was meant to be a joke but recently I've just been feeling really on edge.
I try and worm my way through the group of girls outside the shop flocking Starks' car and I catch a whiff of the cologne he's wearing. Is tha-Is that Axe? Jesus christ, just when I thought he couldn't be anymore of a loser, he wears axe body spray, vile stuff. I finally break free of the group of girls and start trudging down the street back home.
Stupid Tony Stark. Stupid Avengers. Just a bunch of assholes who think the world revolves around them and that they're a gift from God. I'll show them what real power is.
I'll show all of them.
