Y/N's POV:

I collapse onto the floor, again, groaning.

"Ouch."

Thor jogs over to me gently grabbing my arms helping me up and I hold onto him until I get back to the beam and then I hold it tight.

"Be careful Y/N, you don't have to push yourself too much. You've been bed-bound for weeks, it's normal for you mortals to be a bit delicate when having physical rehabilitation."

I laugh gently at his preciseness and I nod sighing.

"I know, I know. I just want to get better, I want to be better for Nat. I want to be able to help you guys."

I frown upset thinking about others on the team.

"Maybe people will actually give me a chance then, instead of ignoring that I'm trying to be a better person. It's like no matter what I do, I'm always just going to be that problem from Hydra."

He nods patting my shoulder looking at me sympathetically. He really is such a good friend.

"I understand that Y/N, but possibly injuring yourself when working to get better isn't going to help. Besides, Nat knows that you're already doing your best, don't beat yourself up. Another thing, don't worry about the other guys, the one's of us who you know have your back are the one's you should focus on. We're here for you, especially Nat, she loves you."

I smile gratefully at him and I hug him tight. He accepts the hug returning it without hesitation.

"You're alright you know, for a big manly god."

He chuckles and through the hug, I can feel his chest vibrate and he pulls away smiling.

"You're alright too. Now come on, let's try again."

I nod watching him cross the room and I start trying to walk over to him unaided. I smile to myself getting further than I've been yet and Thor cheers to give me confidence. I take another step forward when I feel my knee give in and I crumble back to the floor groaning in pain.

"Ouch."

"Y/N!"

I look up in just enough time to see a figure with fiery red hair run over to me and I smile gently seeing it's Nat.

"Hey, you."

She rolls her eyes playfully but then looks at me seriously as she helps me up.

"What are you doing? I thought I told you to wait until I got here."

I frown sitting down on the chair next to the beam.

"Thor and I thought we'd be okay just trying to get a few exercises in. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you mad."

She smiles slightly at me and moves the hair out of my face kneeling down in front of me.

"It's okay, I'm not mad. I'm just worried about you is all."

"You don't need to worry, Thor had my back."

I watch her smile at him and he waves at her when they make eye contact and she laughs gently shaking her head.

"Okay, okay. I get it, I'm being overprotective."

I smile softly and I gently cup her face.

"I didn't say it was a bad thing."

I lean forward connecting our lips and I feel her relax into my touch kissing back and we pull apart when we hear a wolf whistle. I watch as Nat looks at Thor unimpressed and he laughs. I watch him smile as he comes over pulling us both into a tight hug.
