Natasha's POV:

It's been a few weeks since my run-in with Tony and we haven't really been speaking much since. He keeps trying to apologise to me but he's really been pushing my patience recently. It's not like I purposely let her get away, she's an enhanced Hydra subject, if anything we need to bring her in.

She's definitely been able to stay low and keep herself off the radar since our original meeting but she won't be able to hide for long, I'm sure that I know where she is hiding out, where I lost her last time. However, the next time, I won't lose her again.

I shut my car door sighing to myself and walks towards the Avengers tower. I'm hoping I don't cross paths with Tony, but that seems to be a difficult task recently. Especially because he seems to be watching my every move, it's quite irritating actually. I continue to walk inside towards the kitchen and I put the groceries down on the kitchen table and chew my lip.

"F.R.I.D.A.Y, where is Wanda?"

"Welcome home Agent Romanoff. Miss Maximoff is currently in her room."

I nod.

"Has she been down to eat or drink at all today?"

"No, Agent Romanoff."

I sigh rubbing my temples.

"Thank you, F.R.I.D.A.Y."

I make my way upstairs to Wanda's room after I put the groceries away. I make sure to walk lightly when I can hear some muffled noises. Is that crying? I walk further down the hallway the noise gradually getting louder and louder, it is definitely crying, and it is definitely coming from Wanda's room.

I stop outside of her door and I hesitate slightly before knocking because I think she doesn't know that anyone is in. I'm sure some of the others were in though? Have they just not come to check on her? She's just a kid for christ sake.

I take a deep breath and gently tap on the door.

"Wands?"

I hear a slight cough as an attempt to stop crying and to clear her throat before hearing a reply.

"Yeah, Nat?"

"Can I come in?"

I hear shuffling behind the door and then I watch it slightly open enough that we could only just see each other. She looked like she was in a rough state and I frown softly at her. Her eyes were red and bloodshot from crying and her cheeks looked warm and puffy.

"You okay Wanda? Can I come in?"

I watch her glance behind her to look at her bedroom but slowly nods opening the door more so that I can come in. Her room is just like any other teenagers, messy. Not with typical things though? It looks like newspaper clippings, reports and different key files. What the hell?

I take a seat at the end of her bed gently flicking and skimming through the different things scattered across her bed and she runs over quickly gathering them up and shoving them away in a door out of my sight and I raise an eyebrow but she just looks away from my gaze.

"Wands, should I bother asking?"

I watch her just shrug her shoulders at me making me internally roll my eyes a million times. Teenagers.

She sighs and looks at me.

"What's in the bag?"

I laugh slightly.

"Don't think you can change the subject kiddo. I'm not dumb. How about we make a deal?"

She hums slightly in agreement.

"Okay, what are your terms nat?"

I smile gently.

"I give you these snacks...IF you tell me what's happened and why you've been crying."

I gently stroke her cheek getting rid of the last tear that was hanging around on her cheek and she nods slightly. This is a good start. I watch as she walks over to her draw and pulls out an envelope and wipes her eyes passing it to me and I hold it between my fingers.

"Wanda, what is this?"

She sniffles sitting next to me on the bed and I frown.

"I got it in the mail this morning, if I were you I'd just read it."

I nod and look through it and I can feel my frown growing more and more but my emotions go from regular to fuming. I can't believe it, how does she know where we live? I knew she was screwed up but to attack Wanda like this?

I frown looking through the letter that Y/N has sent to Wanda again. Saying that she is a Hyrda monster too? Reminding her of her past with Hydra, with Pietro? That all she is going to be is a mindless killing machine? She's a child for god sake, this is a new low even for her.

"Wanda, you know none of this is true right? She is targeting you and trying to get a rise out of you to get to all of us, she must know you're the youngest in the family."

She cries harder when I mention family and I mentally facepalm. Fuck. Nice going Natasha.

"No no no, Wands I'm sorry. Come here, Sweetheart, I'm sorry."

I pull her into me giving her a tight but comforting hug and I rub her back and give her a kiss on the top of her head.

"Don't cry, I didn't mean to upset you."

She sniffles and nuzzles her head further into me whilst I rub her back.

"I-it's not s-sad crying. It's h-happy crying. Nobody has said anything like that to me since I-I lost P-Pietro."

I smile sadly at her and stay comfortably sat and gently twist her hair between my fingers and I sigh gently.

"I understand that you miss him a lot, but you know you've always got us right? Me especially, I'll never leave you."

She nods wiping her eyes and then I frown gently.

"In fact, has anyone came and seen you today?"

She shakes her head, no.

"I'm pretty sure that Tony is in."

She scoffs slightly.

"Well he's never really liked me has he?"

I sigh softly.

"He's a dick, don't take it personally, but how about next time I go grocery shopping I bring you along hey?"

She nods finally cracking a smile.

"I'd like that Nat, thank you."

I nod.

"Good, but going back to the topic, don't listen to a word Y/N says. She's sick and sadistic, and a total bitch."

Wanda laughs and I smile taking the letter to put in the bin.

"Right, I'll let you chill out, I'm going to have some stern words with Tony. I'll see you later."

I give her a kiss on the top of her head and walk out leaving her with her snacks and sit-coms.

I'm not letting Y/N hurt her like that. I'm going after her again. I'm going after her tonight.

You don't hurt my family and get away with it.
