Y/N's POV:

I walk the familiar streets of California keeping my head down, my hands in my pockets. Although I know the area and I'm from here, something about it just seems weird but I can't quite put my finger on it. I don't understand why my dad hasn't tried to make any contact with me either, he knows I was getting information on the Avengers and working the New York HQ. Everything about this is just, strange.

I come across the familiar building but it looks deserted. I hope everyone is okay. I walk inside frowning to myself and I look around the reception, there's nobody here, there's always somebody here. I get in the elevator going to the top floor and I frown seeing nobody.

"Hello?! Is anyone here?!"

I sigh hearing no response and I walk around the top floor looking through desks, cupboards, anything I could find. Everything was gone, no notes, no riddles, no nothing. I shake my head frowning to myself and I begin walking to the elevator when I'm tackled to the floor. I grab the person by the shirt throwing them over me pinning them down harshly. My face relaxes when I see who it is.

"Sasha?"

She coughs holding her ribs and I stand up frowning.

"Shit, I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you. Don't fucking sneak up on me like that."

"Y/N? Is that you?"

I nod looking at her confused.

"Of course it's me, who else would it be? Do you know where my dad is? I've got new information about the Avengers and how I'm going to take them down."

She nods as I give her a hand up and I smile.

"Okay, good. Now take me to him."

She nods again as I follow her and I frown slightly.

"Why were you surprised to see me? Where the hell is everybody?"

"Well, the last time you were here, you were helping the Avengers, not trying to end them."

I scoff rolling my eyes.

"Funny, good joke that."

She puts her hand on my chest to stop me and I look into her eyes and she frowns more.

"Y/N, I'm not kidding. You and the Maximoff kid came to rescue Romanoff from your dad."

I shake my head frowning.

"No, you're lying. I wouldn't do that."

She gently puts one of her hands on my face cupping my cheek.

"I wouldn't lie to you."

I sigh gently leaning into her touch. We've been friends forever, more than friends at one point but she's right, she wouldn't lie to me. I see her smile gently at me relaxing into her touch and my eyes flicker from hers to her lips.

"You're still gorgeous Sash."

She rolls her eyes smiling.

"God, you're such a fucking flirt. I've missed it, but we can't."

I frown pouting at her gently moving her so she'll be in between me and a wall.

"Why can't we?"

She presses her hands to my chest to keep some space between us as I close in whilst she backs into the wall. I hear her let out a raspy sigh and I smirk knowing she's close to caving.

"Y/N, I'm married now. I can't do this, we can't do this."

I fully back her into the wall closing the space between us my hands on her hips. I feel her relax into my touch and I lean forward resting our foreheads together.
