Y/N's  POV:

I finally made it back to England. I don't know why the boss insists on hiding out here, it's such shitty weather and he doesn't even stay in the nice bits. What an idiot.

I hold my side groaning slightly. I still can't believe the bitch stabbed me during our...kiss. I still can't believe she kissed me either, it's insane. I know I'm irresistible but the fact she kissed me is a bit odd. I mean, I'm Hydra and she's in that shitty band of misfits.

I grab my rucksack from above me and I make my way off of the plane and through the airport pulling my cap further over my face. I make my way to the taxi rank and I hop in the car when I see the driver who is holding my name on a sign.

"You know where to go mate and make it quick."

He nods.

"Yes, Ma'am."

I pull my shirt over my head leaving me in my sports bra and I take a look at the wound on my stomach from her knife. She got me good. I carry on cleaning myself up and I make eye contact with the driver through the rearview mirror so I pull out my gun aiming it at his face.

"I suggest you keep your eyes on the road if you want to see tomorrow."

He quickly diverts his eyes away from me and then onto the road.

"Y-yes ma'am, sorry ma'am."

I nod going back to looking at my wound still trying to stop the bleeding and I groan muttering under my breath.

"Fuck that hurts."

"Ma'am, are you sure you don't need a hospital?"

"No, no hospitals. I'll be fine, just keep driving."

He nods again following my orders. Good boy.

Once we arrive at the building I immediately rush inside and to the bosses office. I need some fucking medical attention, what he wants better be fucking important.

I walk into the room and I look at him.

"I'm not gonna lie to you mate, I'm bleeding so can you get one of your people in here to stitch me up? Please and thanks."

He rolls his eyes and snaps at me.

"Just fucking sit down. I heard about your run-in with Romanoff."

I shrug holding my side as I watch one of his little minions come in with a first aid kit and I remove my shirt letting them go to work.

"Yeah, and I handled her. What about it?"

"Well, the Avengers must know that we're onto something and I want to know how goddammit!"

He slams his fist against the table making the guy doing my stitches jump and stab me and I hiss in pain clenching my fist. Motherfucker.

"With all due respect, sir. I don't think you should take that threatening tone with me. Do you not remember what I am capable of? I don't know how they know, or where they got the information from but I'm handling it alright?"

I use my powers letting the little blue sparks and gas flow through and around my fingers and I see him relax into his chair. I'm glad he realises he shouldn't be threatening me.

"Elaborate on what you mean by handling it. I don't see you taking her out yet? I haven't seen any breaking news stories about the Avengers getting injured, any of them being dead? So, how are you handling it?"

"I'm handling it by letting us lay low. The less attention we bring to ourselves, the less likely we are to be found out. I've begun moving all our things to a new and more secure location. Somewhere we are less likely to be found."

He nods getting up from his chair and slowly paces around the office and points at my wound.

"What happened?"

I scoff standing up putting my shirt back on.

"The bitch got the jump on me, fucking stabbed me."

He nods and slowly moves behind me and wraps his arm tightly around my neck easily lifting me off of the floor choking me and I gasp pulling at his arm. What the fuck?

I hear him chuckle darkly in my ear.

"It's a good thing we have that serum all sorted out, isn't it?"

I whimper still pulling at his arm.

"I-I can't b-breathe!"

"Good."

He slams me against the wall so I'm facing him and I look at him scared and I whimper turning my head to the side when he gets closer to my face. I hear him breathe in deeply and I squeeze my eyes shut tight.

"What lovely perfume you have on. You know this one is my favourite, don't you? You know you're my favourite girl."

He gets closer to my neck to the point I can feel the warmth of his breath and my body can't help but tremble and my eyes begin to well up.

"L-let me go. I'm sorry. I'll get the Avengers sorted, I swear. Starting with Romanoff. Don't hurt me."

He drops me and I collapse to the floor coughing and crying. He kicks me hard in the face and then my ribs, grazing where my fresh stitches are. I cry out in pain curling into a ball, shaking.

"Good girl, now get the hell out of my office."

I quickly nod getting to my feet as quick as I can. I can feel the warmth of my blood dripping down my face and I cough up some blood and wheeze holding my ribs.

I limp downstairs getting in the same taxi and I give him the address of my hotel. Once I'm out of sight of the building I quickly wipe my eyes, and clear my throat, composing myself instead of acting victim.

Especially now I know he's taken some form of enhancement, I need to be strategic with how I deal with him.

"Take me there please, and be quick about it."

He nods already knowing better than to ask questions and I ring Mason sniffling slightly because of the pain of my wounds, but I clear my throat to sound normal when he answers.

"Mason, did you know anything about the boss taking the serum?"

"Wait what? No, no I didn't. What the hell is happening?"

I wince wiping my nose, which I think is broken.

"Yeah well, he has."

"He knows we've not fully finish-"

The line goes static and I look at my phone worried.

"Mason? Mason, this isn't funny, are you there?"

"Mason can't come to the phone right now. I'd suggest you get your job done before you're the same."

I flinch when I hear a gunshot down the phone and I cover my mouth, my whole body going numb, my brain feeling like static and the line goes dead.

Okay, Y/N, it's time to calm down. Do what he says, don't get anyone else hurt. Get away from all this mess. Sorted.

I need to get out of this, this isn't what I signed up for.
