Ariana's POV:
Laughter instantly enters my ears as I step out of the kitchen into the backyard. Taking careful steps so as not to drop the tray in my hands, I walk off the patio, across the grass to the row of chairs beside the pool.
I smile softly at my mom and momma Y/m/n. Setting the tray on the small table between them, I tune back in to the conversation about their vacation not too long ago as I pour their tea and hand them their glasses. Pouring two more, I walk over to my seat, slipping back to relax before I pass the second glass over to my best friend.
"Thank you babe." Vic smiles at me, crossing her legs at the ankles and sipping her tea. I follow suit, leaning back in the lounge chair and crossing my legs. A happily satisfied sigh leaves my lips after my first sip.
Everyone, including Vic and Courtney, decided to come over today. It's fairly hot so we offered them our pool and they took us up on that. It took a few short minutes for all of them to arrive. With coolers filled with ice and drinks, fruit cut and sandwiches made up, we decided to have a little last minute pool party.
We'd all spent a decent amount of time in the pool. Myself, my moms, and the girls, minus Samia, got out not too long ago to avoid wrinkling. Sitting out on the lounge chairs by the pool, we chatted idly and sipped on tea and wine coolers and we haven't moved since except to get refills.
With another small sip and a quiet sigh, I start to close my eyes to sunbathe a but. Just before I do, I feel a light tap on my left leg. Humming, I look over at her with my eyebrows raised." Look at her." She says with a little smile. I'm about to ask who until I follow her gaze. The sight my eyes land on makes my heart swell and I can't help the heavy, need to cry, feeling that washes over me.
Y/n is a few feet away, sitting in a way too small kiddie pool near our pool. Her legs hang out of the sides of the pool as Hazel, Vic's daughter, sits between her legs. The baby girl leans back into my fiancé, her body just barely able to support her head. Her hands keep smacking down into the water, Y/n making excited sounds every time.
The best part: the smile on Y/n's face. Her eyes are as bright as I've ever seen them and her smile matches.
Myself and Y/n have been beside Victoria since the minute she told us she was pregnant. A few weeks ago she went into labor and Y/n and I were right there in the hospital for every second of it. It was so cute seeing how excited Y/n got when she saw Hazel for the first time. She had to use a bit of self control to not jump up and down seconds before she held the baby girl.
God that sight alone. The way Y/n picked Hazel up, holding the swaddled baby all close to her chest and cooing softly as she introduced herself. And she'd kept that same attitude every time since she's seen Hazel. I've never seen her be so gentle.
"Bitch you want one so bad." My eyes widen a little and I look back over at Vic, mumbling a quiet 'huh' that makes me sound caught as hell. She snorts and laughs out loud," girl. You watchin her with Hazel and you can't help but want a baby of your own."
Once again I look back over at Y/n who just so happens to look up and over at me. I didn't think it was possible but her smile gets brighter. She reaches down and gently lifts Hazel's hand and I just faintly hear her cooing to the baby," say hi to mommy and Aunty Ari."
I raise my hand and wiggle my fingers in a wave. This time when I sigh it's a longing one." I can't wait." I finally say before I look at Vic." I've always wanted kids. And she's going to be such an amazing mother."
Vic reaches over and places her hand on my leg," so are you girl," she smiles sweetly at me." Whatever kids you have, however many kids, they're gonna be blessed as fuck. You and Y/n? Great parents. I know it and it ain't even happened yet." Gently squeezing my leg she adds," it'll happen when it's meant to."
