Jovan
^^^^^"Jovan!" Amina jumped on me as Iva and I walked into the apartment.
"Wassup, lil bit?" I smiled as her and she gave me a big kiss on the cheek.
"I missed you and Mommy." She rested her head on my shoulder and I put down my bag to hug her tightly. It was early in the morning and everyone was up, getting ready for work and school.
"Favorite sister!" Iva exclaimed as she hugged Vie.
"Wassup." She hugged her back then continued to make her coffee.
"Where the lil nigga at?" I asked, referring to Byron.
"In the bathroom making sure his hair looks good." Delia laughed and I furrowed my eyebrows. I walked into the bathroom to see Byron's hair braided and I let a laugh.
"We leave for a week and hey braid your hair?" I cracked up and stale-faced me.
"Yup. It looks nice, though so don't even." He put his hand up in my face.
"Where's Shania?" I asked him.
"In Iva's room. She's getting ready. Also he got a little baby bump." He said excitedly.
"How far along is she?"
"I think like 3 months or some shit like that." He shrugged. I nodded and walked back out to see Iva laying on the couch half asleep.
"Babe, get up. You got work." I rubbed her and she turned away from me.
"Leave me alone." She waved me off and I laughed. "I'm not taking Mini to daycare anyway so I'll just have to stay here to watch her."
"I can watch her and you can go to work." I suggested and she turned back to me.
"No way."
"Iva, you've barely been to work and they're probably going g to fire you soon so you should go to work today." I told her.
"You can't watch Mini, though. What if something happens?"
"Nothing will happen." I held out my pinky for her to locked hers with mine.
"Promise?" She asked solemnly as she put her pinky out to reach mine.
"Promise." I reassured her and she slowly dragged her feet to her room to get ready. Shania came out the room and she did in fact have a little pouch.
20 minutes later.
"Okay, bye, Mini. Bye, Jovan." Iva kissed me on the lips. "Take care of my baby." She warned and I nodded. Vie, Byron, and Shania already left so it was just Mini and I.
"Are you taking me to daycare?" She looked up at me with a toothy smile.
"Nah, we gonna hang out today." We sat on the couch and she turned on Cocomelon. She put a pillow on my lap and laid down on it and began to fall asleep. I started drifting off to sleep myself.
I didn't get much sleep on the plane so this was definitely needed. I enjoyed the time I had with Iva and I can see myself with her long term. She's the one for me.
I could feel myself being shaken in my sleep.
"Yeah?" I slowly opened my eyes to see Mini.
"Can you make me some noodles please?"
"Yeah, what time is it?" She looks over to the TV stand.
"It says twelve then dot dot and twenty." She squinted at the clock and I laughed.
"Say twelve-twenty." I told her and she repeated it. We went into the kitchen and she climbed into the bar stool.
"Yo, be careful." I warned as the bar stool tilted and she almost fell over.
"Okay." She shrugged and went on her iPad.
"Did you know my daddy?" Mini asked me abruptly as I grabbed the Ramen out the pantry.
"Nah, I never knew him. I heard he's a pretty cool guy, though." I replied.
"I never knew him either. Mama says he had a radio studio." She continues and I just listen. "She told me that I have the same middle name as him too."
"Oh really? What's your middle name?" I asked.
"Marlo." She answered and I nodded as I turn on the stove.
"That's a pretty cool middle name, Mini." I turned around to look at her. "Sit down, Amina." I told her as I saw she was standing gon' the bar stool.
"I'm just dancing." She giggled.
"Amina, I'm not gonna tell you again." I spoke sternly and she slowly sat down. I turned back around to stir her noodles.
"I think Mommy likes you." She smiled at me and I laughed.
"You think so? What does she tell you?" I encouraged.
"She told me that's you're her favorite friend." She shrugged and I smirked.
"She ain't lying." I said under my breath.
"Are you gonna marry her?" She asked and I chuckled.
"I never knew you had so much questions. And yeah, I want to marry your mom eventually." I explained.
"Can you get Mommy to get a baby so I can have a baby sibling?" She whined.
"I'll try but she might say no." I turned around to look at her and she was standing on the edge of the bar stool.
"Amina-"
"Ahhhh!" She screamed loudly.
Ivena
^^^^^"Harry, please leave me alone." I rolled my eyes at our new cashier. I hadn't been here since the day before Jovan and I left for Jamaica. It was boring as hell here and it was slow most of the time so I didn't even need to be here.
"Do you think she'd still want me after I called her pussy loose?" He asked seriously and I busted out laughing. He was 19 and was asking me for help on his stupid ass relationship.
"Probably not unless she has no respect for herself. But, didn't she get pregnant with homeboy's baby?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Yeah, but she said she's giving the baby up for adoption so it won't matter."
"Or y'all just toxic." I shrugged.
"Nah, she loves me." He ran his hand through his hair.
"Shut up. What's her name again?"
"Polly."
"Polly?! Bro, just drop her ass. If she fucked another nigga then y'all shouldn't be together."
"But, she said she'll let me put a baby in her once she drops homeboy's."
"You're 19, Harry. Focus on literally anything else." I waved him off. "Don't bring a child into this world unprepared. Trust me, I know how that shit goes."
"You a baby mama?" He asked and I was about to answer but my phone began to ring. I saw it was Jovan so I answered quickly.
"Hey, Jovan. What's up?" I put the phone to my ear.
"Babe, Amina's in the hospital."
