"Alright we've already looked at your test results. Now, we have to put them to good use." Bruce announces.
"We've come up with a variety of exercises to help you with your sixth sense." Steve continues.
"Okay let's get to it then." I reply.
We walk down the hall to a specialized training room.
"Tony has programmed this room for a variety of different training sessions. He specifically programmed one for you." Bruce states,"Once you're able to complete this training session in 10 minutes or less. Once you've done that, we can leave. Until then, we will stay here at the Compound. Good luck."
Steve presses a few buttons on a keypad, and gives me a thumbs up, before they step out of the room.
"Okay then," I mutter, getting into a good fighting stance.
Then a holographic robot comes into sight. I charge at it.
'arrow to your left'
I dodge the robots fist and position my body to the right. The arrow lands to my left, and I give the robot one last blow to the chest. It disintegrates.
'the arrows going to blow'
Before I can respond, a holographic explosion happens. The projections stop.
"Session failed," an automated voice states.
I let out a frustrated groan
"Let's try this again," I mutter."Session starting," the automated voice announces.
I brace myself as the holographic robot comes out from a corner.
The robot charges at me. I drop to the floor and send the robot flying. Just like I did to Clint the day we met. I smirk at the distant memory. The robot disintegrates.'robot coming from behind'
I turn and punch the robot, as I send him flying backwards from a kick to the chest. He disappears soon after.
'an arrow is being launched to the right of you'
I dodge the arrow and take cover a few feet away.
'drones flying above'
They start firing holographic bullets at me. I'm able to dodge them and I throw the arrow into the air. It must've been unstable because it exploded in the air.
'robot shooting from behind'
I wasn't quick enough to find cover before the robot shot me.
The projects faded once again with another, "Session failed."
"I can do this, Again!" I demand.
---------------
I've tried this stupid training session at least ten more times and I only completed it once. It took me 17 minutes and 8 seconds. I've been here for hours. I'm incredibly disappointed in myself right now. It makes me want to scream at the top of my lungs as I trash the place.
'Steve is at the door'
"So have you come to rub it in," I mutter.
"No, of course not. You know I would never do that,"
I smirk and roll my eyes knowing that he's right.
"It's time for lunch." He finishes.
"Oh no, you've come to poison me with your cooking." I tease, placing a hand of my heart.
"Haha very funny, Lil." He laughs.
I make my way to the door.
"Come on," Steve grabs my shoulder and pulls me close, "my cooking isn't that bad is it?"
