It's been about a week or two since Tony's party. Things have gone pretty smoothly. I will say that I'm still trying to get used to, as Steve would say, my new normal. It's weird, Tony and I are on fairly good terms, Wanda and Pietro are alive, clinging to my hip, and... they have powers. I thought that I was the special sibling, but it turns out that we're all "blessed" with special abilities. That is the hardest to adjust to. Pietro is moving a mile a minute all the time. Wanda moves things with her mind, and I'm pretty sure that she can read them to, but I've never caught her doing it to myself. If I do catch her though, I will respectfully and lovingly kick her ass.
Anyways, Steve introduced me to a few new Avengers. I think Wanda's particularly found of one named Vision, a ridiculously intelligent, red thing. Who happened to be kind enough to give me a tour of the new and improved compound.
I like what Tony did with the place whilst I was away. I wonder why? Oh yeah, he used my plans! I was coming up with a fully new design for the compound after my little retreat in my pass times. Tony must've found them on my desk because they are damn identical! I mean I haven't moved in yet, I'm still staying at a hotel...
On a more depressing note, Peggy died when everyone still thought that I was dead. Which means that Steve probably had to go through that without his best friend and I absolutely hated myself for that. Plus-
*author's throat clearing*
Alright, alright. I'll get back on topic...

Knock! Knock! Knock!
'Steve'
Huh, what is Steve doing here? What could be so important that he didn't just call?
"Hey, Big Guy. What's...up?" I cracked the door open, but he was inside before I got a chance to complete.
"I could really use your help." Steve says breathlessly.
Did he run here? Because that is a long run even for him...
"Anything," I reply quickly.
Well, maybe not anything...
"What happened and why do you need my help?" I finish.
"So, I told you about everything that happened in Sokovia, right?" he asked.
"Uh, yeah. I'm pretty sure." I nod.
"Okay, well, Secretary Ross paid a visit to the compound. Apparently, there is an abundance of people that are very unhappy about the so-called disasters we've-The Avengers have caused. Ross said that the people think of us as vigilantes not heroes." Steve rambles.
"Okay... that's not great, but it could be worse, right?" I attempt to lighten the mood.
"That's not even the worst part," his breathing restrains, "117 countries- 117 countries, have agreed to sign a document that disallows The Avengers from being a private organization. It's called The Sokovia Accords, and it will hand us over to government. We will lose all control over what we do... Lilli, what if someone needs our help, and they don't allow us to help them? And- and the absolute worst part about it is if we don't sign the accords... our careers are done, they'll retire us."
"Um, wow... okay... that's a lot." I sigh, "are you going to sign it? I mean it sounds like you're not, but you don't wanna retire either, right?"
Steve nods,
"How many others have signed?" I question.
"four; Rhodey, Vision, Nat, and Tony." he states.
"What about Wanda and Pietro? Have they decided yet?" I attempt to gain the most amount of information before Steve tells me what he needs me for.
"They're both to be determined, but it seems as though they'll stick next to you. Whether you decide to sign, not sign, or stay out of it completely." he replies.
Suddenly, my phone buzzes in my back pocket. I rush to see the caller I.D.
"And... there's Secretary Ross, so staying out of it is off the table." I mumble, placing the hang up button leaving Ross on voicemail.
"Okay, so what do you need my help with?" I ask curiously.
"Well... I'm rounding up a team." Steve announces.
"A team? For what?"
This oughta be good...
"I'm trying to get a group of heroes to stand against Tony and the accords- Now, I know that this is a lot to ask, but I could really use your help in rounding up heroes." he begs.
'not the full truth'
"What is the full truth? I know that you aren't just 'rounding up' heroes to prove a point, Steve. You act like I haven't known you for years... Look, you are the kind of person that stands up for what they believe in, no matter the cost, and you're Mr. Captain America, you live for the fight. So tell me, are you also 'rounding up' heroes for a battle between you and Stark?" I cross my arm intimidatingly.
"H-how do you do that?!" Steve squirms, "how do you know absolutely everything? I don't even have to say half of the story out loud, because you already know!"
'Bucky'
"It's a gift, quite literally. Speaking of, Big Guy, you want my help in tracking down your dear friend, Bucky?" I grin.
"Yes, and I know that it truly is a lot for me to ask of you. Especially after everything that happened between you two when we went to take out Hydra. But, you know that I wouldn't have come to you if I really truly didn't need your help." he rambles.
"It- it's fine, Steve. I guess that it's in the past... How about this? For the time being, I will give him the benefit of the doubt, just for you." I offer him.
"Great... We should probably go." Steve gestures to the door, "Ross is most likely on his way here, right now."
"Right, right," I throw the new phone on the ground and crumble it under my foot so Mr. Secretary can't track us, "I'll go pack a bag."
And with that I rush upstairs to pack for the beginning of a new exciting chapter of my not-so-normal life that I may or may not love...
