Lilliana: The Oldest Maximoff [Discontinued]

Back to Work...Again

SeaveyLawley remember when I said that I would change Lilliana's suit along with her character development well...

Up above is Lilliana's new suit(minus the powers obviously). It's just a concept design. I know that it's a little different from last time. But I'll explain later on in the next couple chapters, why she changed it. I promise it's worth the change.

I've only been in my new house for a couple weeks, but so far I really like it.

Steve was right about this being a good thing for me. I feel so much better after everything. It feels like I'm getting closer and closer to being able to move on from everything that happened.

I have noticed Steve dropping in with terrible excuses- just to see me- though.

We even went to that exhibit at the Smithsonian that's about him. He avoided a small section about his best friend.

But, I think that he thinks he's being subtle about dropping in, but he's really bad at being subtle. I can see right through him, but I haven't mentioned anything about it to him yet. Honestly, I find it kind of amusing. I just can't bring myself to tell him. I can already imagine how awkward he's going to be when I do it though.

Speaking of Steve, I can sense him being close. I peek through the blinds but I don't see anything.

So I head back into the kitchen, and get ready to make breakfast, when I hear pounding on the door.

"What the hell?" I mumble.

I literally just checked outside!

I open up the door to see Steve and Nat covered in dust and dirt.

"What happened?" I ask as I scan them for injuries.

"I'm sorry to show up like this but we need a place to stay, Lil." Steve says out of breath.

"Everyone we know is trying to kill us." Nat says.

"Not everyone, come in. Let's get you two checked out." I reply.

Steve and Nat are cleaned up and I've made breakfast for us. We gather at the table to talk.

"So what happened to you guys," I finally speak, "and why does everyone want to kill you?"

"S.H.I.E.L.D's been compromised and Fury's dead" Nat replies.

"What?" I question utterly in shock.

"S.H.I.E.L.D"s been compromised by Hydra." Steve repeats.

"I thought Hydra died when you defeated Red Skull." I state.

"That's what I thought too, but we payed a visit to my old base and found out otherwise." Steve adds.

"Hydra tried to blow us up through S.H.I.E.L.D." Nat applies.

"That's insane," I say, "Do you guys need any extra help?"

"These guys are really dangerous, Lil. Now, I'm not doubting your skill, but you could get seriously hurt. Are you up for it? After everything with-" Steve says concerned.

"I'll be fine, but do you need my help?" I repeat, interrupting.

Just as Steve opens his mouth, Nat replies with a simple, "yes, that would be great, Lil. Thanks."

"Well then, let's get started."

Steve's friend Sam is driving the car. Sitwell is tied up in the back, rambling about how dead he is.
