Steve and I are enjoying a quiet breakfast in the kitchen. It's peaceful listening to the city streets and nature in a nearby park, through the window.

"So I've been thinking that maybe it's time that you get your own place." Steve announces, breaking the silence.

That catches me by surprise considering that he invited me to stay with him. He must pick up on my expression because he continues.

"Not that I don't like you staying here. These past couple months have been great. I just think that you should take the steps back to your normal life. I think it could be good for you... I would help you, of course."

"Um... Okay, yeah. We can start the process of looking." I mumble.

"Great," he starts, "this will be a good thing for you. I promise."

Steve places his hand on top of mine and gives it a reassuring squeeze, before returning to his bedroom.

"Yeah, this will be a good thing," I mumble in an attempt to convince myself, "a good thing."

"Here what about this one?" Steve asks, "it has 4 bedroom 3 bath"

"I don't need a house that big, Big Guy."  I respond.

"Well, yeah, I know. It would be cool if you did though." He shrugs.

That makes me smile,

"Yeah, maybe in the future. If I have a family later in life, a few kids and a loving husband. Then, I will have a big house like that."

I look up to find him staring at me, but I can't quite decipher what it is.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Looking at you like what? I'm not looking at you." He rambles off.

"Yes, you were,"

Steve removes himself from the couch and into the kitchen.

"No, I wasn't"

"Yes, you were looking at me like... I don't know what. But you were definitely looking at me like something."

"No, I wasn't."

"Yes, you were. Now, spill it."

"I don't know what your talking about." He reasons.

I know exactly how to get it out of him. It's a bit aggressive but...

"Fine, fine" I place my hands up in defense, and begin to walk away.

As soon as he turns his back, I launch myself back at him. Before he can comprehend anything, I've got his arm in a quite uncomfortable position.

"Ow, ow. What the hell?!" He struggles.

"Just tell me already!" I demand.

"It's not even that big of a deal. Why- You are so stubborn!" Steve yells.

"Oh, I'm the stubborn one?!"

"Yeah, you're the stubborn one."

"You're the one who won't tell me something as simple as the look you gave me-"

"You're the one that attacked me because I wouldn't tell you!" Steve interrupts.

"But that makes me stubborn, when you wouldn't tell me!"

He scoffs and I reposition his arm.

"Ow! Fine, I'll tell you. Just let me go for god sake!"

"Fine" I mutter, letting him go.
