Chapter 25

It is a clearing at the top of a hill in the middle of a forest. Two black cars are waiting at one side. Suddenly a van comes at a high speed and halts at the centre with jolt. The door slides open and a man is thrown out of the van. It then drives away at full speed.

The guy's hands are tied at his back and a black cloth is tied on his head. He wears a light blue shirt, all wrinkled and dusty.

Two men in black shirts, come out of one of the parked cars. They grab the guy's arms, pull him up and take him to another car. They put him in the back seat. Then cars immediately drive away.

The guy starts to growl from under the cloth tied over his head. He can feel someone cutting the cloth off then opening the blinds from over his eyes and mouth. The guy closes his eyes as the lights hit his eyes. He is a fair, handsome guy, a few years older than Sidharth. Hair is short with a side parting and is clean shaved.
After his eyes adjust to the light, he turns to face the person who opened his binds and gets shocked.

"You?"
Sidharth takes the knife and using his one hand he turns him and cuts the rope off his hands.
Rajiv rubs his wrist and turns to face him again, "You.. you are him.. I have seen your photographs. Yes. You are Richa aunty's son, Sid."
Sidharth does not say anything as he continues, "I never thought I would meet Richa aunty's son like this. But I don't understand what is happening Sid?"
Sidharth says,"Rajiv Ahuja, I am nobody's son. I am just Sidharth Raichand. No one calls me anything other than that."
Rajiv stares at his face, "Fine. But tell me, what just happened here? Why did they leave me like this ? Where is my dad? Where is Richa aunty?"
Sidharth calmly says,"Peter?"

Peter sitting in the front gives him a bottle of water. Sidharth gives that to Rajiv.
"Drink it, you will feel better. Are you hurt or something?"
Rajiv takes the bottle and drinks from it, "I am alright. But don't ignore my questions. Where is my dad? What happened?"
Sidharth still stays silent and frustrated Rajiv pulls his arm, "What is your problem? Why can't you answer me Sid? Sorry Sidharth Raichand."
Sidharth smirks,"Questions. That is my problem."
He turns away and rubs off the area where Rajiv was grabbing his shirt.

"I am just confused. I was returning back after so many years and this happened. I am scared for my dad. You are not saying where he is. I don't know what is your problem. But I need answers."
Sidharth stays silent and Peter says,"Sir, you don't have to worry about anything now. We are taking you to Raichand mansion. You will be safe there. All your questions will be answered there only. Sidharth Raichand doesn't like to be questioned by anybody. So please stay quiet."

The cars stop at the entrance and Sidharth gets down along with Rajiv. Rajiv looks around the huge mansion as he gets inside. In the living space sits Richa, Sana and Kabir. They stand up finding them entering the house.

"Rajiv!", Richa says.
He comes closer and gives her a hug. Tears trickle down her eyes as she wraps her arms around him.
Sidharth immediately turns and goes upstairs. Sana watches him go, understanding his state of mind.

"Richa aunty what is happening? Why are we here? Where is dad? I really don't understand."
Kabir says,"Rajiv, just go and get fresh. Have something to eat and then we'll talk."
Richa nods her head.

After freshening up, Rajiv sits with a cup of coffee. Richa introduces Kabir and Sana to him.
Kabir says,"The Chowdhrys have been the enemies of the Raichands and Singhanias for many years. They joined another enemy David. David wanted to end Raichand's legacy. He was successful to some extent."
Kabir stares at Richa, pauses and then continues, "They knew Richa bhabi is back in India. They wanted to kidnap her along with you both. They knew Baba, I mean Sidharth will do everything to get her released. Anyways, Baba had a talk with them and they agreed to release you now and your father once his demands are met. So Baba will get him tonight."
