"Why did you go alone like that? There is always a risk and now we are facing an unknown enemy. Agar kuch ho jata toh?"
Kabir says with a worried look. Both sit in his office.
Sidharth gives him a sad smile,"Bahut sakat jaan hun. Itni jaldi nahi marne wala."
Kabir stares at him,"Why do you talk like this? You were changing but today I can see the old Sidharth again. What has happened?"
Sidharth lowers his head, "Nothing. Is there any news on David?"
"Do you think these are his doing?"
"No.. I was unarmed, he could have just pulled a trigger. This one wants just to.. I don't know, play some kind of games."

Kabir gives out a deep breath,"I have already sent my men to get any information about this unknown enemy."
Sidharth nods his head as he sits silently looking at the glass left untouched.
"Baba, what is bothering you? You can talk to me, you know."
Sidharth stays silent and Kabir nods his head before he stands up to leave.

"Kabir chacha!"
Kabir stops and turns to see him.
"We must not expect anything from people right?"
Kabir smiles, "Human beings can never stop expecting. Especially from those who matter the most. But when expectations don't come true, one can get disappointed. Try not to keep unrealistic expectations."
"Unrealistic?"
Kabir nods his head, "Like you don't accept your feelings and hope the other person will do that."
Sidharth looks up at him, surprised.

"I have seen you since you were born. It was not Sir jee but I who had first taken you in my arms. I get what is going on inside you, even if you don't tell me."
He comes near him and touches his head,"Baba, tell her you love her. At least make her understand what she means to you. The moment she will see your love for her, she will automatically understand her feelings for you. Trust me. "
"What if she never loves me back?"
"She will. But if she doesn't then also you will be at peace for not keeping your emotions hidden. Expecting is normal but it can't work with love. You can never force anyone to love you back. "

Sidharth takes out a novel by Nicholas Sparks, Every Breath.
It is a story of a couple coming from two opposite backgrounds. They fall in love with each other but the girl chooses a better prospect, a settled life over him. But their love does not die over the years.

Kabir chacha, I have tried several times to make her realise how important she is for me. I had even tried to confess my love for her. But she didn't stay to hear me. Then she chose him.
Ashmit was perhaps the safer option for her. With me she could have never felt safe. Even if I had not expressed my feelings, we were coming closer. When he came into her life, everything changed.

I had hired Ashmit Khanna for my construction company. He was really good at his job. A few days later there was supposed to be a very important meeting. When I reached the office, I found there were some electrical issues. We couldn't postpone the meeting, so the meeting was shifted to the conference room at La Mère Hotel. After the meeting I came out to find Shehnaaz chatting with Ashmit. She was holding his hand and they were laughing. I felt something when I saw them together. Jealousy. I guess. No, it was in fact jealousy. I couldn't see her with anyone else.

I was restless the whole day while I was away from her. I returned to the hotel that evening to pick her up and drop her home. Before I reached the gates, I saw her leaving with him. I drank myself to sleep that night. I was going crazy thinking about her. I had to talk to her. The next day was a Sunday. So I went to her home. But I didn't meet her as I saw them again on the balcony.

I met her on Monday morning as she entered my room with the trolley. She poured me a cup of tea and sat down to chat with me like everyday. There was no need for me to ask as she told me everything about Ashmit. They were friends when they were at the orphanage. And Ashmit was adopted and left before the place closed down.
So they were just friends. I felt better. Still I couldn't take any chances. She was the best thing to happen to me. She was my sunshine to my dark gloomy life. I couldn't lose her now.
