"Can you please tell me everything now? If Ashmit's adoptive father was alive, why did he lie? And where was he all these days? Where did you find him? How? Sidharth, please bolo. I am dying out of curiosity. Please.. "
Sidharth sitting on his high back chair of his room, pulls her onto his lap. He places his finger over her lips.
"Sh.. "
"Sidharth.."
"You aren't talking about dying, ever. "
"Uff, that was just a figure of speech. But I have so many questions that I want to answer. I am curious."

Sidharth smiles but stays silent.
"What? Bolo na."
"Wife, Sidharth Raichand is allergic to questions. And you have bombarded him with hundreds at one time."
"SR Ji, I have questions in my mind, ab kya karu, poochni toh padegi. Fine. Tell me the reasons behind his lies."
He stares at her face and then says, "He lied to you to gain your sympathy. He shed crocodile tears and you lent him your shoulders to cry on. That was the purpose of lying. "
"Ha****** kahinka! apne zinda baap ko mara hua bol diya. How disgusting!"
"He is blinded by rage. He just wants revenge and that has made him go to new lows. He was brainwashed by David. Not entirely his fault."

"He had it in him, that evil thing. When we were in the orphanage, he was good to me but he was really bad with those who bullied him. He used to beat them up in the middle of the night. I thought he was just angry but now when I look back, I feel he loved to bash them up. Psycho! "
"That's why you said yes to him. Because evil was better than this Devil. Right?"
Shehnaaz stares at him, annoyed, "Tumhara phir se shuru ho gaya?"
She tries to get up but he doesn't leave her. He gives her a kiss on her nose.
"What was that?"
"Naak pe rehne wale iss gusse ko Kam kar raha hun. Is it working or should I try anything else? Maybe lips?"
"No. Abhi only Details SR ji.. Batao na.. the way you found his dad."

Giving a deep breath, he starts narrating.
"Ashmit was kept on surveillance for months now, actually for over a year. His house in Delhi was locked up after his father's alleged death. But a caretaker used to come every day. Nothing seemed unusual here. What caught my attention was the photograph I got from his house in Delhi one day. The garbage placed in front of the house had food packets and what looked like adult diapers. I sent my men to go inside. It was vacant but they found a foul smell coming from under the carpet. It was a hidden door that led to a basement. There on the bed lay an old man. He was his adoptive father. He was in a pretty bad condition. He was dehydrated and dirty. He had perhaps not eaten for days. My men took him to the hospital and captured the caretaker. He accepted that he was being paid to give food and water to Mr. Khanna by none other than Ashmit."

"Kitna kamina hai yeh Ashmit. How could he do this to him? I don't get the reasons behind it."
"Mr.Khanna is a wealthy man. After his death, everything was supposed to go to his son but he changed his will. Perhaps that made Ashmit angry. He couldn't let him die before changing it back. But I think Mr.Khanna was adamant, he preferred dying over bending his head. He is a tough man. He has survived the conditions for over two years now."
"Ashmit has money now. David's backing and Dhillon's alliance has given him so much. Still he wanted more?"
"Greed makes you go to extreme levels. Haven't you heard the story of King Midas?"

Shehnaaz gets up from his lap and sat beside him.
"Hmm.. he was deprived of everything from childhood. Maybe that had made him so greedy. That's the reason he hates you. He thinks you had everything and he didn't. He was after all Raghuvir Raichand's son as well."
Sidharth just stares at her and she asks, "What? Don't start again. I am not sympathizing with him."
"I know."
"Then what's about that look?"
"He is not Raghuvir Raichand's son."
"What? like seriously?"

After Sidharth explains everything, she says, "Oh My God! Mum was trying to tell you that. Oh My God! So Ashmit is not your half brother. Thank God! Otherwise I was seriously thinking about moving out of Raichand mansion."
"Moving out?"
"Haan. Sidharth Raichand ka kuch bharosa nahi hai. If he could give Rajiv a second chance even after he fired bullets at him, he could bring his half brother to the mansion as well. Mere bhai mere ghar pe rahega, bolke usse le aate. I can't stay with him under one roof for sure."
Sidharth just smiles.
