Chapter 35

The cars stop at the gate and they honk. But nobody comes out to open the gate. Another car stops beside it, a few men come out and knock at the window of the car. The window rolls down and Sidharth waits for them to speak.
"Boss, two cars went inside a few minutes ago. The security guard opened the gates. Nobody else has gone in. The security guard was here, but he is nowhere now .."
Sidharth sitting inside nods, "Get in and open the gates. "
Peter says, "Let me go in and check. You stay here."

The men jump inside and open the gates.
"Did the gate open?"
Peter says, "Yes. I .."
Sidharth interrupts, "Take the car in."
The car drives in and stops in front of the entrance. There are two cars parked. They find the house in darkness as no lights come out of the windows.

Sidharth gets down and pulls his gun out. Peter comes beside him. He walks towards the door. Peter turns the door knob and they get inside. And just then the lights turn on.

They could see Arvind Ahuja and his son Rajiv Ahuja standing with two couples and Richa in the middle. There is a cake at the centre and the servants as well as the security guard stand a little far from them.

Peter whispers into his ear, "They are celebrating. Cutting cake, so lights were off. Security guard is here too and a few guests."

Richa stands up, looks at Sidharth and she asks, "Sid baby?"
Everyone including the guests stare at the men out of shock and fear as they enter the house with guns.
Arvind assures the guests that everything is okay and goes towards them, "Sidharth, I mean Sidharth Raichand, is everything ok?"

Sidharth puts back his gun and signals his men to get out. Only Peter stands beside him.
"I.. I am.. really sorry.. I didn't mean to .."
Sidharth stammers and takes a step back.
Arvind says, "Why don't you come in? We were celebrating Richa's birthday here."
Rajiv comes up, "Dad, are you crazy? He is not here to celebrate. Look he has come with guns and men. What exactly were you planning Sidharth Raichand? Kill us or.."

Arvind Ahuja says, "Rajiv, stop. Richa, please ask him to come in. You take him to your room, That will be better.."
Richa comes out and goes near him, "Baby, come in bacha. You look tense. Kya hua hai? Peter?"
Peter is about to say something when Sidharth interrupts, "You all carry on. We will wait outside till then. I need to talk to you both. We will stay outside. Peter, we must go."
He turns to leave holding the door.

Richa holds his hand, "Sid, baby don't.."
He turns to remove her hold, "We will be outside in the car."
He leaves with Peter.

A few minutes later the guests leave the house. Arvind Ahuja comes and knocks at the window asking Sidharth to come in.
Sidharth follows Arvind into the house. He misses a step and is about to fall when Arvind holds him.
"Are you alright beta?"
He asks and Sidharth nods his head.
Richa comes up, "He can't see things clearly yet. Thanks Arvind."
She then takes him inside by his hand.

Sidharth sits on the sofa with Richa beside him. Arvind sits in front of them. Rajiv sits at one corner. Peter stands behind them.
"You came with guns. You came in spite of the condition. What is it Sid?"
Richa asks.
Rajiv makes a face, "He is a mafia. This is nothing to be surprised of. He destroyed last night's dinner and now he scared away the guests. Why the hell is he here?"

"Rajiv, enough now.", Arvind screams, "This is his house too and he is my son, my youngest son. He has all the rights to come into this house anytime he wants. I won't tolerate this kind of behaviour of yours."
"Dad, he came with men and guns. Still.."
"I said enough.."
"Mr.Ahuja, don't get into arguments because of me."
Sidharth gulps down saliva.
My son..Youngest son..He has all the rights to come into this house anytime he wants..

Richa grabs his hands that tremble a little.
"What is it Sid?"
"I know.. I destroyed your evening..I had called you before coming but nobody picked up the phone.."
"Why? What is it?"
" Actually I got a phone call. I got a threat call. Your lives were at risk.. I got.. worried.. I came only to.. check on you.. The security was not at the gate. Lights were off, so.. "
Richa stares at Arvind, whose face turns serious.
Peter comes forward, "Today there was an attack on Boss. He rushed here as soon as he got the call."
