Chapter 41

"Where am I? It's so dark here. Where's the light switch? Shehnaaz! Shehnaaz! "

He walks ahead to find light at the end of the path. It is an open door that leads to a gigantic room. There is nothing in it except a high back chair.

"Hello! Is anyone here?"

The chair turns and a cold wave passes through his spine. He sits there in the same posture, one arm resting on the arm of the chair, right leg rests on the knee and the other hand holds the cane. He stares at him with those sharp cold eyes and he has that wicked lopsided smile on his face.

"You? "
"Missed me?"
"How is this possible? You are.. dead!"

With a roaring laughter he says, "I was never dead!"

He takes a step back. He wants to leave right now. He turns to go but he finds his tormentor sitting there in front of him.

"Where do you think you are trying to go? Sidharth, do you think you can leave without my permission? I am RAGHUVIR RAICHAND, your Dad. I will always be with you. You have no escape."

Sidharth shakes his head, "No. This is not real. I am having a nightmare. I need to wake up. I need to wake up.."
"You can't. You just can't. You know why? Because you are dead right now."
He laughs again.
"Yes, the Devil is dead and has come down to Hell. "

Sidharth shakes his head,"No! Just shut up! You are just my nightmare!"
"Sidharth Raichand, you wanted to die. Didn't you? So finally your wish has come true."
"No. I didn't wish anything like that. Shut up. Just shut up.."
"You had tried several times. Didn't you cut yourself? See those scars on your body. You think you can hide them behind those ink and nobody will know. But you were a coward so you failed every time. Finally you're successful."

"I can't die. Not right now. I have started living again. You are lying. Like always, you're lying."
Raghuvir laughs, "Fine. Accept whatever you want. But this is the fact that you are stuck with me forever. You may live or you may die, you can't escape from my clutches. And I will never let you get love or happiness."
"Why can't you leave me alone? Why? Why do you hate me so much?"
He could feel his cheeks getting wet.

"Because you are her son and not mine. Because you are weak and not strong like me. You could not take any of my traits. Why couldn't you become ruthless like me? Why?"
"I can't and I don't want to. I simply hate you. I never wanted to be anything like you. You are a monster."
"And you are stuck with this monster forever. And I repeat, forever. "

He pulls out a whip,
"I had tried hard to make you a real man. But you are a disappointment. Remember this? How can you forget? Every lash of it was an attempt to bring out the real Raichand in you. Whatever success I had gotten went into drain after you ran after that stupid emotion called love."
He shakes his head out of disappointment,
"You believe you love that girl and she loves you back. No. You are living a lie. There's no one in this world who loves you. Everyone is selfish. Your mother, that girl, everyone."

He gives that wicked smile again,
"It has been years, you haven't got any lessons. And as a result, you have become weaker. You are changing from Devil to a sissy. You have put me to shame all my life but now I feel like I must die again. Sidharth Raichand, you are useless as a son. You need to be punished."

Raghuvir shakes his hand and the whip thrashes on his chest. Sidharth falls on his knees out of severe pain. He closed his eyes and heard a roar.
"How dare you forgive that bi****? She killed me and you ran into her arms calling her Mom? This one is for the first crime of yours."
Another whip hits him and he grabs his chest. He looks down, the fallen angel drawn on his chest has lifted his head and he smiles. His face looks like Andrew. He is trying to say something. But he is unable to hear the room echoes with Raghuvir's screams,
"How dare you think about starting a normal life with that girl? You are forbidden from falling in love. You are cursed for life. This one is for that."
