Hey y'all I was pretty confident I didn't want to continue this after the last chapter, BUT I couldn't just leave you hanging with the All Valley, so here's the official last chapter!
[ Hawk's POV ]
This was it. The day of the All Valley was finally here. I was still a little out of the loop with the whole Robby situation, but Sam and Miguel kept assuring me that they had everything ready to go so I just left it all up to them. I was currently driving to the tournament and Demetri was waiting for me there to watch from the stands. I was trying to stay calm, but my nerves were getting the best of me. I hummed along to the radio to try and distract myself, but the only thing that really made me feel better was thinking about Demetri and how happy he'd be if we won. I didn't really care about proving myself to the Cobra Kai's anymore, I just wanted to prove to Demetri that everything we'd gone through was worth it to get to this point.
I pulled into the parking lot and scurried inside spotting Miguel first. He was standing with his arm around Sam who was frantically typing away on her phone, which I assumed had something to do with Robby.
"Hey guys! You ready for the big day?" I said, in a cheerier-than-usual manner.
"Ready? Definitely not. Maybe try another adjective. Scared, worried, terrified. Something along those lines," Sam looked like she was about to explode, but Miguel pulled her in for a hug reassuring her that everything was going to work out in the end like it always did.
Even though the words weren't directed towards me I couldn't help but feel comforted by them. Suddenly I felt a long pair of arms wrap around me from the back and I recognized the gentle feeling of them right away.
"Hi, my love," Demetri whispered into my ear, quiet enough so that only I could hear it.
I swiveled around and placed a quick kiss on his lips before ranting about all the possible things that could go wrong today. I expected a little reassurance like what Miguel had given Sam, but he just started chuckling.
"You're adorable when you're nervous."
"Shut up, this is serious!" I rolled my eyes and turned away from him.
Demetri grabbed onto my arm, turning me back to him and placed his hands on both of my biceps. Even though the sensation of his skin against my own was almost as common as taking a breath, it still made my insides melt every single time.
"You're going to do amazing, Eli. And I mean if you don't..." Demetri ran his hand up my forearm and pulled me closer.
"I could just help you feel better about it later," he smirked and placed a soft kiss on the tip of my nose.
Damn I loved this boy.
I was about to respond with something equally as flirtatious, but the loud speakers started booming, telling everyone to start getting ready because the tournament was starting in 30 minutes.
I sighed and rested my head on Demetri's chest before saying a quick goodbye involving a longer kiss than intended, and a goodluck from my boyfriend. My boyfriend wanted me to do well in this tournament. My boyfriend. He was mine and I knew he wouldn't care if I lost, but I just couldn't shake the images of how big and bright his smile would be if the next time I saw him I was flaunting a giant trophy around.
In the locker rooms we were all stretching and trying to steady our breathing. Before we knew it there was another loudspeaker announcement instructing everyone to get to their places. This was it. The moment of truth,
[ Miguel's POV ]
I had snuck off while everyone was getting changed and doing warmups to make sure everything had gone smoothly with Robby, and to my utter surprise it had. We were crouched behind a section of bleachers right by where Miyagi-Fang was going to enter the room. It had been a little difficult to sneak him out of the Cobra Kai area without Kreese noticing, but Sam was able to set up a little distraction that they'd be preoccupied with for at least the amount of time it took for Miyagi-Fang to make their big entrance.
