Chronic people pleaser

"Eye for an eye"
"Tooth for a tooth"

I used to think this law of retaliation was created as a punishment for the selfishness we as humans possess.

One of our bad traits.

It was an unimaginable way of thinking.

"If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also."
"If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them."

Even though kindness is a beautiful trait to possess it is often misinterpreted.

If you are kind, people will walk all over you, like a goddamn doormat.

And if you don't let them

You've become the selfish asshole.

I have given so much to so many people.

They've taken pieces of my soul as i poured them into their own goddamn heart holes.

I broke myself to please them and for a very long time I thought this is what life was about.

I was suffocating.

Just like a coiling snake, I was trapped in this loop.

But it's not.

I am not going to give myself away anymore.
I am not Ancient Greece so people can loot and booty me.
And I am certainly not a fucking doormat.

Enough exploiting.

Fuck you.

I am done.
