I've been waiting for you

I am broken.
I always was.
I was an uncharted territory
Until you came along.
You showed me that
I am not under construction
I am not a work in progress
I am like sunken mermaids.
You taught me what Kintsukuroi means,
Took my fragments,
broken parts,
fractured pieces,
shattered bits and shards;
Repaired them with gold
And turned me into a mosaic.
You took my spilled chaos
And created a masterpiece.
Your very own masterpiece
Full of depth and wisdom
So breathtakingly beautiful
That it captivates every pair of eyes.
You love me in my entirety
So magical and pure.
You make me feel alive
For the very first time
Your radiant smile
Became my warm sun
That I was so desperately searching for.
And as for your gorgeous eyes
That hold the galaxies of the universe
And the depths of the ocean,
They are sparkling with hope.
My hope.
I didn’t know how to love
without blades and swords
Till I met you.
That’s when my soul whispered
"You.
I have been waiting for you."
And it was utterly right
Because, for my heart
You are home.
