So I started writing poems in a more of a free style way, dunno if that makes sense or if they are good enough but i like them, I can express myself better I guess
Also this is my very first positive poem, it probably sucks but I tried so here you go:

All my life,
All these 18 years,
Since the day I remember myself being a kid,
I have always thought of myself as a number.
As my weight.
As my height.
As my age.
As the lines on my face.
As the pimples and my acne.
As the scars craved on my skin and soul.
As my stretch marks.
As my bruises
And even as the number of the centimetres that make my nose bigger than the average size.
I was so freaking insecure in my own skin.
I hated every little flaw I have
And in my eyes, everything on me was a flaw.
Waking up every day and wishing the reflection that was staring back at me in the mirror, wasn't me.
That same sad looking, emptied soul eyed girl every single morning.
I wished that stupid mirror could somehow stop emphasising all of my imperfections.
Because then I would start my day with smiles and love instead of baggy eyes and acne scars.
But mirrors don't lie.
Mirrors reflect your own view of yourself.
Nothing more, nothing less.
They capture criticism and judgement.
Poisonous words from excessive taunts.
And they make you feel small.
Worthless.
Useless.
Don't let them destroy you
Nor the words nor anyone's opinion.
We are still young.
Not even old enough to carry ourselves.
Let alone everyone's expectations.
Realise that you are enough.
Realise that you are all you need.
So stand tall and embrace yourself.
Be comfortable in your own skin.
Grow stronger and more brilliant.
Cause stardust runs in your veins
And stars didn't just blow up
To see you waste it all.
It's not going to be smooth sailing
This road of self love and appreciation
After all these years of torment.
But you are going to change,
Slowly but surely.
Yes, things are going to be hard.
And the waves will be stronger.
You will want to change things
And arrange it like your puzzle.
Easily solved
And built in just one second.
But it takes time.
I know Rome wasn't build overnight
But it was burned in one.
Everyone is scared of the flames.
But I promise you, darling
You have all the courage you need
To lift yourself up and fight,
Hiding inside that beautiful heart of yours.
One day, you will be able to see
Beyond the insults
And more than that face that's staring back at you in the mirror.
You will know that you are capable of more.
Someday you will find out
How brave you really are.
Long for that day.
The day you set yourself free.
Free from everyone, to be its own unique mesmerising human being.
Make yourself proud
And the stars as well
Cause dammit, I can ensure you
It's all worth it.

Hope you liked it :) Dont forget to vote if you feel like it and perhaps leave a comment while you are at it ;)
