Erin

As I drove to Leo’s apartment in the middle of the night, I booked a flight to Boston. I bought two plane tickets for me and Leo so we could run away together. I am willing to leave everything and everyone here just to be with him. I am not going to marry Zeyn. I am not marrying anyone but Leo.

It took me almost twenty-five minutes to get here. His guard was outside. The same guard in the Carter Hotels.

Let me in!” I was about to kick him in the groin when Leo’s door opened. Coming out of Leo’s apartment was the same brunette girl I met in his hotel. Aria. But she is not wearing her working attire but a lacy crimson dress.

She did not greet me like how a clerk should be. She just gave me a sharp look and mouthed, “Let her in.”

How dare he?! I am suing him!

Before I could even react, Aria locked the door outside, leaving me alone with Leo who is in his black leather couch with his back on me.

Tatadyakan ko to mamaya.

“Leo…”

“Anong ginagawa mo dito?” He asked without even looking at me.
Why is he acting like this? Does he know about the betrothal?

“Leo, they want me to marry Zeyn. I promise, I did not know about the betrothal.” Tumabi ako sa kanya at hinawakan ang kamay niya. But his expression remained blank.

“Leo, why do you have a gun?!”

When I looked straight to his eyes, there was nothing of the Leo I knew. His gaze screams darkness, brutality, and death.

“Leo…” He readied the gun like he is an expert and it gave me goosebumps.

“So, you are marrying Zeyn for money. Good.” He uttered while casually the empty space on the couch with his gun. But, wait? What did he say?!

“It’s a W vow that is unbreakable. And I am not marrying him for money! Why would you even say that?”

And why does he even have a gun in the first place?!

“You are marrying Zeyn for money, Erin. Sigurado ka bang hindi mo alam?” My eyes narrowed at him. Tumayo ako at lumayo sa kanya.
He continued, “Well wow.

“What the hell are you talking about?”
He stood up and walked towards me, cornering me on the kitchen counter.

Hawak hawak niya parin ang baril niya. He traced my collarbone up to my jaw with his gun. I started to shake. “Do you know that your father gambled your wealth in the black market? At alam mo rin ban a baon na kayo sa utang? Another fun fact, your father owes my mother a lot of money.”

I bit my lip.

Somehow it makes sense. That is probably why my parents are always away.
