Kapag naglalaro kami ng kings and queens and castles and villains, lagi akong pinoproktetahan ni Zyair laban sa villain na si Ethan. I'm the princess, Zyair is my prince brother. Yago and Yuri are the kings and queens. Zeyn is the royal knight and Raven is the fairy godmother. I don't know what happened with Raven's role though. I think it was a dare.

When we were kids, Zyair and I are really close. Kahit ako ang mas matanda sa kanya, he treats me like his princess, him being my knight-in-shining-armor not just in kids' games but in every way. When I was in high school, I got cat-called by a random guy. Zyair punched him in the face. Kaya na-guidance si Zyair. He also wrecked my ex's car after knowing he cheated on me. Pinagtatanggol niya ako 'pag pinapagalitan ako ni Daddy. He even picked a fight with my schoolmates that bullied me in middle school.

But when I sided with mom na pilitin si Zyair na Business Management degree program ang kunin imbes na photography, which is what he really wants, I lost him. We lost our bond after that. Lumayo na ang loob niya sa akin. And that was one of the saddest moments of my life. He knows how important freedom is to me but I betrayed him.

And today, after seeing him almost lifeless, the view almost killed me.

I cannot afford to lose my brother.

A week has passed after the accident. Inuwi ko siya sa bahay after ng operation niya. Zyair damaged his legs so he won't be able to walk for a few weeks. Mom hired a private nurse for Zyair pero pinapauwi naman niya lagi kaya ako lang din nag aalaga sa kanya. Ang hirap mag-alaga ng naka-wheelchair. He's so bugnutin these days. I don't know how to handle him anymore.

"Drink this." I handed him a soya milk.

Tiningnan niya lang ako nang masama, "You know I hate soya."

"I know but it's good for your bones. Para mas mapabilis ang recovery mo." I sat on the counter, facing Zyair on his wheelchair; he's wearing a plain white shirt and casual shorts.

"Anything but that, please." Binalik niya sa'kin yung baso na may soya milk. And grabbed his phone instead.

"Ganyan din sinabi mo sa halos lahat ng dairy products na binigay ko sayo. C'mon Zyair, you need more calcium in your body. 'Wag na makulit."

"I am not a baby para sabihan mo nyan"

"Then stop acting like one!"

He dropped his phone on his lap and looked at me with his face blank. "Wow."

"I am telling you, this is good for you"

"How do you know it's good for me when I don't even like it?!"

"Because it's necessary!"

We were both startled by a loud bang on our main door. Upon seeing that the boys are here, I immediately grabbed the glass of soya and poured it into the sink.

"Aga aga nagbubulyawan kayo. Nasisira ang ambiance ng white house niyo." It was Ethan, wearing a red jersey that matches his amber-colored hair. Agad siyang nakipag-high five kay Zyair.

He was followed with Yago, wearing a blue jersey, his brown curly hair shone as the sun rays struck it. "Kumusta ka na, pre?"

Zyair smiled subtly, "Ayos naman, kaso bottom muna ako ngayon." His reply made me roll my eyes in disgust. The others laughed. Why do men think about sex all the time?!

"I brought breakfast, fuckers!" It was Zeyn, wearing a green jersey, holding 2 big paper bags. Kinuha ko naman agad iyon. "Good morning, misis ko." He said to me and winked. I raised my middle finger as a reply.
