My brows furrowed as confusion quickly gets into me at the thin small paper bag at my front, hawak niya iyon. The bag is pink! That's why it's cute.

I immediately smile as I accepted it and look up to him.

"Is this a birthday gift?" I asked, hopeful.

He licked his lips as he slowly nodded at me. Mabilis niya ring binalik ang paningin sa daan. He's currently driving.

"Thank you!" magiliw na sagot ko. "I didn't expect it! Ang dami mo ng pasalubongs e," ani ko pa habang kinukuha ang nasa loob ng iniabot niya.

It's a thin rectangular box, I am already having a guess that this is a ballpen. Napalaki ang mata ko nang tuluyan kong iangat ang takip.

I'm right!

It's a pink luxury pen!

I look at it closer and saw my name engraved at the end just below the button.
I remember just asking for it before! Now he gifted me one. Buti na lang pala ay nalimutan kong i-request iyon kay daddy.

Turns out, he'll be the one to give me.

Humarap ako sa kanya, "I really love this! Thank you, Chase. The best ka talaga!" I giggled and give him another thumbs up.

Sumulyap siya sa akin saglit, he pursed his lips. Nagpipigil siya ng ngiti but I shrugged it off and opened my purse shoulder bag to take out my phone. Ilang beses ko pang kinuhaan ang regalo niya sa iba't ibang angles. I took one photo where I use him as a background, naka-focus sa gift kaya blur siya. But I realize, he's so gwapo para lang i-blur so I took one again with no focus.

He didn't mind though, he didn't even commented while I was taking a pic of it. .
When I got satisifed, I carefully placed it back on the box. Not wanting it to be damaged.

I was about to open my IG to post it on my story but my phone notified. I'm low battery na! Papunta pa lang kami? Great.

Hinayaan ko na lang, I'm good mood so I don't want to gush over it. Instead I started to open a conversation with him about sa place na pinuntahan namin. He even said the place is familiar to him, syempre hindi ko rin hinayaan na wala me malaman from him!

I ask a lot of questions, he didn't really wander around kasi nga he was there for work but since his job involves checking the site. He was able to visit few spots.

Ilang minuto ay narating na namin ang destination for this day, I haven't really asked about him where. I got used to that unconsciously. I like the catch when we arrive, masusurprise na lang ako sa lugar 'cause I wasn't expecting anything.

Well he is too! Hindi siya nagi-initiate magsabi kung saan ang pupuntahan namin!

Oh, I just realized! My parents didn't even know where am I heading, basta ang paalam ko ay aalis ako. Hindi na sila nag-ask who I am with. I don't think they didn't care, baka they thought...

I'm with our driver? Hala! I should tell them next time.

Chase helped me hop out the car, mabilis kong nilibot ang lugar para makakita ng sign kung anong pinuntahan namin now. Nasa parking kami, malawak. Habang papalapit kami, doon ko nakita ang taurpaulin sa labas.

An art museum!

My eyes are probably round right now. When I face him, nakatingin na rin siya sa akin para bang inaabangan niyang makita ang expression ko.

I flashed a sweet smile, "You always know what place I would like!"

Pumungay ang mga mata niya kasabay nang pag-angat ng labi. His smile shows satisfaction, ang kinang sa mga mata niya ay nagpapatunay din doon.
