Hear the mind's need

Chapter 4

Tanghali na pala, the blazing heat of the sun is already peaking through my pink curtains. I started doing my school stuffs after breakfast, so I'm done with things I have to do, now I'm slightly bored. I heaved a sigh of unsatisfaction. 

Si Chase kaya?

Last night, I  didn't have the chance to text him. 

Wala naman akong number niya kasi! Why did he ask for my driver's though instead of mine na lang? Hindi ko tuloy siya na-ask what time he got home. I can ask Manong for his number but I realized he didn't ask mine for a reason. So... I shouldn't. Right? 

Napanguso ako. At times like this, saka ko nararamdaman ang negative side nang pagiging friendless. I still could do a lot of things alone but my boredom right now is looking for something new. I also stopped coming to business gatherings so my social life is really at the lowest right now. I snorted in annoyance and get my phone to ease my boredom. I check my social medias but there's nothing interesting to be seen but it's better than having my so-called old friends in my feed. Buti na lang we unfollowed each other na. 

"Si Chase kaya?" wala sa sariling naisatinig ko. 

I grinned to myself and quickly type his name in the search bar. Mabilis lang na bumungad sa akin ang account niya. Just seeing the amount of followings, I'm sure this one's legit. He's pretty famous kahit wala naman siyang gaanong post, hindi naman din surprising iyon. Like hello, who wouldn't want to follow a man like him? 

I giggled at the thought and press the follow button. Walang pagdadalawang-isip akong nagdesiyon na i-chat siya. Hopefully makita niya agad. Hindi kaya bagay ang name ko i-ignore. That's wasting a pretty thing.

@ theonlyZalliarez: Hi!

Ilang minuto pa ang lumipas at wala pa rin akong natatanggap na mensahe. Siguro ay maraming ginagawa... he's an engineer, what to expect? Also, he's taking masteral. He must have a lot on his hands.

I continue scrolling through my feed when a message notification pop-up. Kaagad ko pinindot iyon nang makitang si Chase nga. My lips turned up while typing a new message to reply. 

@ chasefuentes : hey..

@ theonlyZalliarez : busy?

I am expecting of needing another scrolling of my feed before he could reply pero mabilis siyang sumagot.

@ chasefuentes : Not really. How about you?

@ theonlyZalliarez : Well I'm kinda bored nga e, tapos na ako sa school works ko.

This time, hindi siya agad nag-reply. It's indicated that he have seen it, siguro hindi na replyable ang message ko. Psh, Am I too madaldal na ba for him? O katulad ng iba I'm getting feeling close na rin? Oh my gosh, is this the result of not having friends to hang-out with!?

Bumuga ako ng hangin at muling napahiga sa malawak kong kama.I stared at my pink ceiling trying to think of what to do. Pupunta na lang akong mall. I'll entertain myself na lang by buying some few stuffs, hindi naman ako excessive mamili over nonsense things. Saglit pa akong humiga para mag-isip nang pwedeng gawin or baka may na-forgot ako.

Sa huli, iyon nga ang naging desisyon ko. Mabilis akong bumangon para mag-ayos, I put on some powder. After some time of fixing myself, I am already prepared to go. I didn't bother checking my phone while getting done. My heels dominate our silent house as I stride down the stairs and find my driver. Noon ay parating nag-aaya ang mga friends ko mag-shopping, that's probably why I resorted to this also kahit wala na akong kasama. Habang nasa byahe, I mindlessly opened my phone again and was surprised to see na nagreply pala si Chase, about fifteen minutes ago.
