ᴛʜᴇ ᴄʜᴀᴏꜱ ᴡᴀꜱ ꜱᴛᴀʀᴛɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴅɪᴇ ᴅᴏᴡɴ.

I watched on as Tommy gave up arguing with Techno, and some of the L'Manburgians had gathered at the top of the grid to look over destroyed L'Manburg. I also went up in case they decided to try and start something with Dream, I wasn't going up to protect Dream but for them instead. Tommy and Tubbo had started the battle with full armour, now they were walking about with hardly no protection.

I stood next to Dream, and he still sat working on using all the TNT in the machines. The explosions still happening, though the fighting was over. It seemed more calming now that it was only TNT and not withers or clashes of swords. The toll on both nature and humanity is devastating. It'll likely take years before this place will have recovered. It's clear debris, gore and destruction have taken the place of trees, shrubs and bushes.

"It's over." I said with a breath of fresh air, and I had survived. I think the only person who died was Jack Manifold. Yet, no remorse came from me. The only thing I felt bad for were the number of dogs which had gone to the afterlife.

"Yeah, Tommy's looking at you." Dream said as he stood near the edge of the grid with me.

"Do I go and talk to him?"

"Not up to me, but I would."

I nodded and I located my way in the dark to Tommy and Tubbo and we were joined by Ghostbur who was crying. I was surprised when they didn't even say anything to me, but we stood together and looked upon the devastation of a old home.

"Tommy who did this?" Ghostbur asked quietly as he looked down.

"Dream did, with Techno and Phil. Thora too." Tubbo said as he looked to Ghostbur then me.

"Phil? But I gave Friend to Phil to look after." Ghostbur started, "Dream found me friend and Technoblade said we were friends. Thora, are we friends?"

"Of course Ghostbur." I replied. If I had of known about Friend's whereabouts, I would have moved him.

"Wilbur..." Tommy started.

"See people wouldn't lie about that would they?"

"It doesn't matter Ghostbur, we lost." Tommy sighed and sat down, Tubbo sitting beside him.

"Tommy, would it be worth singing the Anthem one last time?" Quackity asked as he came up behind us.

Ah, the L'Manburg Anthem. Written in the old days of L'Manburg when Wilbur was president. The song had been sung only once before and it was when we gained independence, then the song was locked away. Never sung again, although everyone knew the song. Today was the perfect day to close the chapter. I put my sword away, and realised my hand was still a little bruised and battered.

"Just like Hamilton." Ghostbur said, and we all sadly chuckled.

"Alright Ghostbur, you know the Anthem better than anybody else." Tommy said, and it was true, because Wilbur wrote it.

"𝗜 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗴𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝘆𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆

𝗢𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘁

𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗯𝘂𝗿, 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘆, 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗼, 𝗙𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗘𝗿𝗲𝘁

𝗔 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝗟'𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴

𝗠𝘆 𝗟'𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴

𝗠𝘆 𝗟'𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴

𝗠𝘆 𝗟'𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴

𝗠𝘆 𝗟'𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴..."

Everyone had joined in by the end, and it got me reminiscing. Despite my hatred for this country by the end, it was always going to be a past home to me. Despite it being the place where I died, it was always going to have some amazing memories. Despite it being the place where Technoblade was executed, I couldn't hate it with the full of my heart, it just wasn't in me.

I didn't deserve to stand here with Tommy and Tubbo, and I didn't deserve to look down on the place I destroyed with total serenity and peace. There was people hurting all around me, and I was standing with them, happy with the outcome. I was a bad person, and I needed to leave.

"Im sorry everyone, im so sorry it had to come to this. This place was once my home, and I hate that I had to destroy it in the end." I said, I couldn't look at them. I was afraid they would be disappointed that im now just apologising.

"Nothing matters anymore Thora, it doesn't. You were once apart of L'Manburg, and although I should hate you for this. I just can't be bothered anymore." Tommy said with a sad smile. I nodded and we hugged.

After everything, I didn't deserve this treatment. I didn't deserve to be hugged by Tommy. I know I had stood by him a lot before my distaste towards L'Manburg, but still. I said goodbye to the others and went down to the canyon of destruction. I saw Phil in the distance and ran up to catch up with him. We walked to the cabin, Techno already at home so he could drop off his dogs.

"Come on Phil, we just had a massive success."

"Yes we did!"

As soon as we got to the cabin, I started getting undressed from my armour and weapons, while Techno and Phil talked about different farms and the life of anarchy. They talked till the sun rose, and then Phil started remaking the house next to ours. He managed to somewhat build a roof and put a bed in there.

Techno finally came into the bedroom- yes, I had moved back upstairs- and took off his armour and everything else. He set it down in the corner and then climbed into bed. I watched him for a second before I climbed in myself.

"So, what now?" I asked as I faced him. I realised he had a cut on his face, I put my finger on it. He reached up and took my hand in his. I realised my hand was still bruised even after hours ago.

"Now, we fix your hand. How did you do this?" He chuckled, as he handled it gently.

"I punched Sapnap in the head. Well, I was so angry that I punched through the helmet..."

"You tried to punch through Netherite? Oh, I cant take you anywhere..." Techno laughed, "Next is we help Phil with the house and let Ranboo move over here."

"Ranboo's moving here?"

"Yeah, in the mountain face behind the house. I think he's gonna start building tomorrow. Not sure." Techno stated while handing me one last healing potion. I drank it quickly before settling down again.

I nodded, and smiled. I shuffled closer, I was about to close my eyes when Techno started talking again.

"Im thinking about starting something...Something bigger than the 4 of us that's going to be here."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I don't know just yet, I just want freedom. No Governments after tonight."

"Well, I think people learned their lessons so don't worry about governments." I laughed, and then I closed my eyes as Techno played with my hair.
