My legs were cold as soon as we arrived in the lands Techno took over, but where I stood, looking over the snowy lands were phenomenal. The castle sat at the top of the hill, however you couldn't see from the bottom due to the fog. The heavy, grey clouds covered the mysterious castle in a sheet of secrets.

Techno ushered up the hill so my legs wouldn't freeze off. The fog parted ways when Techno walked to the gate, his cloak pushing the fog away aggressively. The gates to the castle came into view, and they stood strong. They were wooden, with golden bolts to keep strong in battle and they towered over almost all the trees.

"How do we get in?" I asked as we stood looking at the massive wooden gates.

"I have a secret passage way, come here."

I followed Techno's lead as we walked alongside the stone walls. We came across a cracked stone button which he pressed three times in a certain pattern. In front of my own eyes, the stone moved aside slowly and create a space for us to walk through. That wasn't the first time I had seen that, and it in fact reminded me when Techno and I had our first bad fight. I was just surprised one this old still works.

"Wow, glad this still works to be honest." Techno said with a smile. I chuckled and walked through, the hairs on my arms rising from the cold.

There was no light once I walked through the stone wall, but it smelt old and dusty. Suddenly, orange light illumed the room. I looked around, and we were in the kitchen part of the castle. We stood beside the ovens and benches where the food would be prepared. Yet it was swallowed in darkness and dust, it truly had been centuries. I swiped a finger across one of the benches and the amount of dust was almost suffocating.

"It's been abandoned, ever since I left..."

I turned to Techno who had made his way out of the kitchen and into the hallway outside. There was no door for the kitchen and right outside the doorway was a flight of stairs which circled up onto the floor above. I followed Techno who was holding the only source of light it seems, however, as we stood on the ground floor. Torches lit up by themselves.

There was magic surrounding this castle. I could feel it.

"That was kind of scary..." I said as Techno put out the light he was holding. He chuckled and held my hand softly. We stood in the open, to our left was another grand hallway with mazes of rooms and doors. To our right was a grand door wide open, and on the inside, some red furniture, discoloured by the dust.

"Living-room first?" Techno asked and I nodded, We walked in and again the torches lit themselves as we walked in. I laughed at how rich this room was. The sofa's were a rich red under the layer of dust, and the sides were encrusted with gold. The rug was also a red and gold to match the sofa's and the red walls. Above my head was a dull but big chandelier, but no lights lit up. Against the walls was a fire place but beside the fire place was a wall designed as a massive bookshelf. Tons of old books in place.

I walked over and looked over these books which were centuries old. I picked one up that caught my eye and turned to Techno with a smile.

"What you got there?" He asked as he walked over and I handed him the book, "ᴛʜᴇ ɪʟɪᴀᴅ ʙʏ ʜᴏᴍᴇʀ."

"It's about Greek Mythology isnt it? I also find that stuff interesting." I said, and he nodded and handed the book back to me. He grabbed my hand again and we made our way to the left side. We opened every door and looked in every room, just exploring. I noticed Techno, he seemed to be in peace here, even after centuries.
