The evening of the next day, my father was kind enough to take me on one of my friend's house to meet up. I didn't asked many questions about that friend, but I knew at least that it was a girl with red curly hair and that she was aware of my condition so that wouldn't be very awkward.
Even so, I was really stressed. I didn't know how to react. I just hope that everything would be alright.
The only thing that made me feel better was that I would be able to finally get some new information about myself. Maybe that friend of mine would make things a little bit more clear for me. I needed after all to see every point of view of my situation.
My father left with his car and I was waiting outside of my friend's house. I took a deep breath, knocked 3 times and...
"Oh my God! Sarah are you alright?!" the door answered a girl around my age. Her eyes were piercing light green as her long curly hair were deep red, just like my father had described.
"Hello...," I greeted awkwardly and the girl finally motioned for me to come inside.
"Oh my! I am so sorry! I scared you right? I didn't mean it. Come inside," she spoke quickly with her high-pitched voice and that caused me to be even more anxious.
"I assume you are my friend right? I am terribly sorry that I don't remember you because of my amnesia," I apologized but the girl quickly shook her hands in denial in front of her face.
"No! It's alright! I was really worried about you, you know! But thank goodness, you are safe and sound!" She exclaimed and I rubbed awkwardly the back of my head.
"Y-yeah."
"So tell me... You really don't remember anything?" she questioned while moving closer towards me with a small grin. For a moment, I could swear that I saw some kind of mischief into her eyes but it faded as soon as I answered.
"I am afraid that I don't. Did...something happen between us?" I asked trying to be on guard.
"It's totally fine! And no, everything is perfect between us!!"
"I see... Then I apologize for worrying you... I am sorry, your name is...?"
"Oh! That's right, were are my manners!! My name is Bethany!" she introduced herself while walking towards her room with me behind her.
"Right. So Bethany I assume we were really good friends, am I right?" I questioned trying to be optimistic.
"Yes you are girl!!! I am your very best friend!" She said with a big smile and that made feel a little bit more at ease.
"I'm glad to know."
"It wouldn't hurt trying to be optimistic. She seems like a very nice person."

"I take that back..."
The next hour was about Bethany telling me gossips about other girls and I was trying my best to not roll my eyes at her.
"...And then I said : you should have gone back to your mama! That girl is sure done after that!!!" she laughed while hitting the mattress of her bed and I gave her an awkward smile.
"I feel bad for that girl... Seriously I don't find this funny at all. She looks overly excited about anything and always has that smile on her face but something seems way too off about her... I feel like she's lying about something."
"Oh My God, Sarah!!! I need to take you to a party that my colleague will make! I am definitely sure you will like it! Let's go together to have some fun!" she suddenly suggested, or to be precise, ordered and took my hands into her own while looking into my eyes with excitement.
