~ Flashback back with David and Alexander ~

"... I am a demon. And that won't change."

"Tch..."

David, who was keeping with force Alexander to the ground with his leg, had finally stepped away. His glaring eyes filled with resentment.

"You bastard...," voiced weekly Alexander, now slowly getting back on his feet, "You really... You really think you are better than me?"

"I don't think so. I know so."

"You little!" yelled Alexander while trying to attack David with his bare hands, only for David to dodge every single one of them with little as it was nothing effort, "She doesn't deserve a creep like you! She needs me and only me!"

"Do remind me, aren't you the one who actually hurt her in the first place? My, how obsessive and stupid you are...," mocked David with his calm and clear voice and that irritated Alexander even more.

"Shut up!" yelled loudly Alexander as he finally stopped attacking, "Just shut up...," he whispered ever so quietly as he clenched tightly his fists in frustration. His pained eyes looking sorrowfully at the ground, "Sarah left still thinking that I am the bad guy here... I did this to protect her from her own powers, from her own miserable destiny... I... I just want her to hear me out. To let me explain. I just wanted to keep her safe..."

"Your way of doing things is most definitely inefficient and you lack basic communication. If you truly want to just explain your point of view to Sarah, then go ahead. I won't stop you..." voiced David with glaring eyes. His next words sending Alexander chills down his spine, "...But if you ever think of hurting her again, I'll make sure you suffer for an eternity."

"Is that your way of pitying me?" scoffed Alexander, "...I don't need that."

A minute of silence followed after that until David finally let out a sigh and opened a portal, "I'm going to find Sarah. This is your chance to tag along. Do as you wish."

"Tch," Alexander hissed in pain while he was slowly making his way towards the portal, as his regeneration power was weakened down. He hated this. He wanted to kill that false demon right this instant. But he knew better than anyone... That it was meaningless even thinking about it.

"Here," spoke suddenly David and threw a healing potion towards Alexander who caught it with ease.

Alexander glared at the bottle in his hand and then back at David, "You are fucking irritating...," he mumbled and opened the bottle to drink the colorless healing liquid.

"You were going to slow us down if you stayed like that. We need to be quick, otherwise we'll loose track of her portal's residuals."

"I know, I know, shut up."

With that, both demons entered the portal and arrived into an unfamiliar forest for the one of them. David let out a heavy sigh while Alexander seemed to look cautiously at his surroundings for whatever reason.

"Just great..."

"Where are we?" questioned Alexander even tho he had a feeling he knew where.

"We are close to the city by the name Aegis. I assume you know what this place is."

"So this is the way for the forbidden city..."

"Forbidden huh? Makes sense for a demon like you."

Alexander rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, "How do we know she's here? She might as well just used this portal to distract us."

"She's here," answered David while holding tightly the fabric over his chest. His eyes looking somewhere deep into the forest, "I can feel it."

"Creep."
