She started speaking under her breath, and I could tell I was screwed. Balls of navy blue energy sparked to life at her sides. She only smirked at me before hitting the balls like it was some kind of sport, aiming every shot at my body. I tried to deflect one, but it only knocked me into the opposing staircase. This of course made me more vulnerable to new attacks, but luckily my fight or flight kicked in and I avoided another ball of energy.

It was like a game to her. She whipped her whip in the air, knocking everything she could attack me with at me.

"Could you knock it off!?" I cut off a part of the railing and chucked it her direction, only to have it spiral off when she deflected it, "Please just let him free! Sir Iida is no one's property!"

"Then why are you trying to take him from me!?" She attacked fiercely, but whined like a baby.

The force of the whip caught me off guard. I was thrown down the main staircase. Iida must have heard me because I swear I heard him say something.

"Shut up about her!" The fairy cracked her whip against the door, "She's only poisoned you!"

Where's Kaminari and his musket when I need him? "Sir Iida! You have to get out of that room!"

"Shut up you cur!"

I got my idea. "Alright. Let's play the game my way."

I ran forward, up the stairs. I grabbed the disregarded rail piece and bolted into my old room.

I could hear the fairy follow me to my room, "Come back here coward!"

I chucked the section of railing at the giant window in my room. I watched as a large crack formed on the glass surface. Luckily this castle was old. I looked to the armor stand and grabbed a few throwing axes and aimed them at the crack. It shattered the second the first axe hit the window.

"Are you leaving him again!? Come on! Let me kill you!"

I found some rope in the armor stand, so I grabbed it and attached it to my belt. I then lowered myself to a ledge just below the window. I slowly made my way around the main spire. My eye landed on Iida in his window. I could hear the fairy call after me. I took the second throwing axe and took a crack at Iida's window. He backed away in shock as I broke the window.

"What!?" The fairy heard me and turned her attention back to Iida.

I held my hand to Iida, "Now I know I'll be damned for breaking those windows, and I know this isn't exactly a door. But would you mind accompanying me?"

He was wearing a more complete set of armor. A set fully prepared for battle. He smiled a little then his eyes widened, "Watch out!"

He pulled me into his room as a ball of energy incinerated the spot I had just had my body. I looked up from Iida's embrace to see the fairy.

"Get away from him!"

I ripped myself from Iida's grasp, even if the better half of me wanted to stay in his arms, "Come on! Follow me!"

I threw open Iida's door, dragging Iida with me. I had to open the door for him. I might not be able to save him from the spell, but I'll try my best to do what I can.

She basically materialized in front of the door, "Give him to me!"

"Yeah no."

Iida took the liberty of leading the two of us forward. He led me to the lobby, closer to the fairy. I made sure to keep our distance as she fired ball after ball of energy. We hid behind pillars and felt them shaking as she attacked.
