A Different Beginning ~ Part 16 ~ Updated: 1/1/15 Late evening

Gabriel moved close to me on the way down the hall and slowly slipped a hand into mine making me jump. Surprised Gabriel swore and sighed. “Trouble…” I blushed and shrugged. “We are going to have to get you out of that habit and fast. Hand!” He stated and slipped his hand into mine giving it a squeeze.

I giggled and North snorted and lead the way. The lobby was now crowded with a number of parents and students walking around. I made eye contact with a few but kept my eyes focused on the ground. Soon North and Gabriel stopped and pointed out my father and sister headed this way before disappearing with a wave.

“All set?” My father stated as he approached.

I nodded quietly holding my paper with my schedule. Together we made our way to the car. It took a few minutes before we made it home and I slipped back up to my room. The pain was becoming worse as the day went on and I could barely change into some loose jeans keeping on my blouse.

A couple minutes later, I closed my door and slipped out of the house and down the street. As I approached, I straightened my clothes and bit my lip as I knocked on the door. The woman from the day before stood in the doorway.

“He-Hello!” I whispered shocked and suddenly I was scooped up into a hug.

“Oh I am so glad you came back! I was so worried I had scared you last night and I wanted to apologize.” I flinched a little unable to hold it back but as Mrs. Lee stepped back I quickly smiled hiding my pain.

“No no! I apologize!” I smiled happily. “I was surprised and I didn’t want to introduce myself so soon after I had met Kota.” I blushed softly.

“Water under the bridge my dear. You may call me Erica. Come in.” She opened the door and I slipped in. Turning she looked down the hallway to the living area. “Kota!” She called and turned to me. “I didn’t catch your name dear.”

“Ah My name is Sang. Sang Sorenson.” I smiled politely and Kota appeared in the entrance.

“Mom what’s up?” He called and he looked surprised and smiled seeing me in the doorway quickly moving forward to me. “Sang! I am glad you could come over.”

I smiled and slipped over to him. “You didn’t tell me she was coming over?! I would have cleaned up.” I blushed and glanced down as Erica teased her son.

“Sorry mom.” He smiled and guided me to the living room.

Stepping in, I spotted Victor and Nathan sitting. Victor stood noticing me first and guided me over to the couch. “Hey…” He whispered and I smiled softly allowing myself to look a little tired.

“Hey…” I whispered back and Erica reappeared in the room and I quickly hid my exhaustion not wanting to worry the other.

“Lunch will be ready in a few. Sang would you like anything special?” She questioned and Kota stepped over to my side.

“Oh no worries Mrs…. Erica..” I smiled catching myself. “I am sure what ever you put together will be amazing.” The mother smiled big and shifted to the door.

“Ah no troubles at all Sang. Have fun with the boys.” She disappeared and I let out a soft breath and Victor stepped forward quickly opening his arms. I could feel myself shake as I slowly slipped into his arms shaking.

“Easy Sang…” He whispered and carefully sat down drawing me into his lap. I quickly breathed in his mossy sent. “Does it hurt that much?” He whispered and I bit my lip slowly sitting back in his lap my hand fluttering to my lips. I didn’t know how to reply so I just let down my guard.

The sent of cyprus and spice drifted over and I turned spotting Nathan holding a bottle in his hand and Kota with a glass of water. My eyes wavered over them wanting to reach out and take them but shook my head finding Victor’s brown eyes alight with fire.

“What’s wrong, Princess?” He whispered his eyes searching mine.

“Dr. Green said I had to eat first…” I whispered back and looked back to the container of pills desperately wanting relief.

A flash of aqua and a warm touch made me flinch and I was guided to meet Nathan’s eyes. “We will eat soon, Peanut.” He reassured me and I nodded a little.

“Back.” She heard Kota whisper and a soft hand touched my upper back rubbing softly.

“When was the last time you ate?” I felt him lean forward and I wheezed. Victor’s eyes widened and some of the light faded. Carefully he shifted bringing me to his chest. I shook unsure when I had last ate. My eyes shut and I wheezed again panicking.

“Sang.” Victor’s baritone voice was in my ear along with his hot breath. “Do you remember the last time you ate?”
