A Different Beginning ~ Part 22 ~ Updated: 1/7/15 Early Evening

My mothers voice erupted in my head and I coughed choking a little on my sandwich. Nathan, who was sitting next to me, patted my back as I continued to cough. "Sang?" He questioned his eyes trying to meet mine. I quickly grabbed my water and swallowed it down as much as I could.

"Fine. I am fine." I responded quickly dismissing the other's worried looks.

Yes they had lied sure but it didn't mean that they were cruel or hurtful. Right? They all had been so kind and protective of me so far. My eyes wavered and I leaned down to rub my head slightly. I couldn't believe my mother. Could I? She couldn't be right.

"Sang?" I looked up startled to find most of the guys clearing the table and almost everyone leaving the room. I quickly rushed to get out of my seat but regretted it a second later when the pain sparked up in my stomach and I almost sent the plate in my hand down to the floor.

Silas had scooped a hand under me just in time and I crumpled into his arms. I slowly started to back away when he shook his head and I gave in moving back into his arms. "How much does it hurt? One to ten." He whispered. My eyes wavered as I looked into his and then dropped them to the ground.

"Six..." I whispered and he lightly brushed a hand over my forehead making me flinch at the cold touch.

"Hand." He responded and then tried again slipping his hand under my hair and to my forehead. His hand was cold making me shiver. He looked up and quickly surveyed the room before shifting. "Kota." I looked up and met the eyes of Kota who was walking into the kitchen. Surprised his eyes quickly narrowed and he rushed over. Silas lightly held me to his chest still. "She is in pain. Six out of ten and her fever is going up." He stated and I hid into his chest.

"What?!" He exclaimed and caught my arm. I flinched hard and quickly pulled my hand away trying to hide. "Sang?" He shifted behind me, his voice quieter, but I couldn't see him my head hidden in Silas's muscular chest. I felt Silas lightly run his hands through my hair trying to calm me down. "Sang? Why didn't you tell us you were hurting?" Kota's voice was softer this time but I could still feel the hurt in his voice. Why was he hurt? I was the one that was hurt. I was the one in an uncomfortable position. I was the one that was hiding.

I turned meeting Kota's eyes. "Why did you lie about where Gabe is?" I countered and I saw his eyes widened. My eyes narrowed and I moved out of Silas's arms this time and put my plate in the sink. I wanted to leave. Shifting I moved to the entrance to find my shoes.

"Sang." Kota appeared and put a hand on the door blocking my way. "Sang that is enough Gabe is out doing a job. I am not lying." He stated again and Silas came up from behind. My eyes met Kota's once. His face was broken as he tried to explain. I knew he wasn't lying this time but I didn't know what to believe.

My eyes met Silas's and his eyes were filled with worry and fear. I turned back to Kota. "Let me leave." I responded again removing any sort of emotion from it. But before I got an answer North appeared in the entry way his eyes wide.

"Fucking hell guys what are you-" He stopped short seeing the look in Silas's and Kota's eyes and then looked to me. I met his eyes with a blank stare back.

"Where is Gabe?" I asked again this time to all three of them. No one responded and I turned gripping the door handle and turning it. But the door didn't budge open. I looked over to Kota's hand still holding the door closed. "Let me leave." I repeated again my eyes narrowing.

This was bad. This was very bad. Nathan, Victor, North, Silas, and Kota were in this house at this moment and there was no way that I could leave with North and Silas in the entry way. My breath caught as I began to panic. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I shook hard pulling away in fear. "Don't touch me." I whispered shaking very hard my breathing quickly turning into wheezing.
